Churchill County Deputy Sheriff Trevin Goodrick recently competed at the 2016 inaugural World Police and fire Winter Games held at Mammoth Ski Resort, Calif. Goodrick finished first in the 8 kilometer cross country ski race, also referred to as the 8K skate, in 30:33 for the goldmedal. The field consisted of 25 competitors in the 18-to-39-year-old age bracket.The second- place competitor finished a full five minutes behind to claim the silver medal.
