This is really an amazing edition on our website I put allot of work into Stillwater because it was one of the first ranching towns in Northern Nevada and eventually the city of Fallon had grown so much it made Stillwater a farming ghost town leaving behind abandoned ranches, small cemeteries, outbuildings, foundations etc all hidden within the Saltwater Marsh which at one time was an ancient sea the cattail eaters lived on for thousands of years.
Stillwater was called what it was due to its stagnant water it had a Pony Express and Overland Stage Station then the town sort of grew from there. As a matter in fact it was a nice town back in the day with a courthouse, school, stores, saloons, hotel, hay yard, restaurants, post office, ice cream parlor, blacksmith etc. Many families built the ranches with there hands facing hardships all the time such as epidemics, grasshopper plagues, floods, massive snowfalls and drought.
This is an ancient region of Nevada as a matter in fact on the edge of Stillwater the oldest mummy in North American was found. The red haired giants also roamed this region and for thousands of years the Paiute tribe lived on the marsh fishing, hunting, gathering plants etc. Then the white man came in built massive ranches, irrigation ditches, canals etc draining the marsh and all its lakes causing it to nearly dry out. The natives were put on reservations and not even given water rights. In my opinion where this ghost town resides is cursed land and I do not ever see it changing.
Today not much remains of downtown but there is many abandoned ranches, outbuildings, foundations, shacks, cemeteries and of course the beautiful wildlife refuge which surrounds this beautiful scenic western ghost town. Its a creepy place as you can tell from the addition I encountered ghostly music, family portraits and even frying pans hanging up in one of the homesteads. Everything is very apocalyptic here like everyone left things as is and slowly nature is consuming it all.
I did this project back in 2014 honestly it should have been added on our site a couple years. But some how I archived it and moved on to adding other projects on our site then remember oh no I forgot Stillwater. I been doing all sorts of ghost towns in the mountains above Stillwater when this is the most important one of all of them since the ranchers here exported beef, livestock and harvested crops to the miners of Virginia City.
This is a special addition on our site I busted my ass working on it the past few days trust me. I know most of you are stuck on social media but your going to have to leave your comfort zone a little if your going to value the paranormal adventures that we bring you guys because all the special things we do end up on our site not on facebook if that makes sense.
There is allot to see in this addition so ill tell you about I look back and think not bad considering years ago I had an older camera. But I also look back and think about the memories made here and how awesome this place is. I am sure I did not find everything were talking a 77 thousand acre area of farms so who knows what I did or didn't see in Stillwater. But I did allot of urban exploring, hiking, paranormal investigating, offroading and everything else in between.

The next addition on our site that I will add is a ghost town called Davies Town its a really awesome place up near the Oregon Nevadan border. I am not sure when ill have it up I have to do my radio show this week, have a pain management and another project all in between the three snowstorms coming this way back to back.
You will enjoy Stillwater its magical, special and has so many awesome elements that their is something in this addition for every single one of you. This is a forgotten place id love to go back and see more but sometimes I just have so many other places I am doing research at. I mean I still have hundreds of other locations we need to explore and get done it never ends either does adding places on our website which is allot more then what most paranormal or urbex groups do because were ALWAYS active and we ALWAYS have good stuff for our viewers to enjoy.
So take the time to relish it and thank you for all your support. Have a great night its time for me to go pick up the tacos, smoke a bowl for a job well done and watch my Lethal Weapon series tonight. But boy am I glad this is out this is an adventure from almost four years ago and now all of you finally get to see it as it comes full circle. It really is an ultimate large edition on our site and a pretty creepy little ghost town. Peace Out!
