Title: **NEW** Updates On Our Site "Middlegate Station" NV Pony Express Country!
Post by: AngelOfThyCosmos on February 12, 2018, 07:02:49 PM
Let me take the time to announce this very special historic addition on our website "Middlegate Station" which was a Pony Express and Overland Stage Station back in the mid 1800's. Amazingly the station still stands and today is a restaurant, gas station, hotel and bar. As a matter in fact its about the only establishment in fifty miles in either direction so in actuality this place is a light at the end of a very long remote tunnel. :)

Its an important site because it almost was erased from the history books twice. Now and then I stop here while ghost towning and decided it was time to get this place up on our site so we can help keep it preserved and in turn it will allow people to visit it keeping the station operable so that it never ends up becoming abandoned again.

While this is not a huge addition on our site it truly is a museum on the outside as well as in the inside. Very few stations in Nevada stand anymore most are either in ruins, abandoned or just been totally removed from the history books. I have slowly visited multiple stations over the years and this is a piece of American Wild Western history that you can actually delve into by eating a famous monster burger or drinking some beers here while exploring at the same time which is pretty awesome!

I feel blessed that I am able to share my travels with all of you through our website. I have hundreds of locations ill be adding because all I do is adventure and allot of what I do I do for all of you so you can have something to look forward to and at the same time also learn some new things.

They called this Middlegate Station because James Simpson who surveyed the route through Nevada thought that the cuts through the mountains resembled giant gates. The station came a short time later and they named it after the middle cut/gate which you can see from the boardwalk of the station or while dining here. Thousands of pioneers during the gold and silver rushed came here to rest their heads and get a hot meal while on the way to boom towns like Tonopah for example.

With that being said you can check out this addition directly on our website at http://paranormalghostsociety.org/MiddleGateStationNevada.htm or if you wish to visit the epilogue you can do so in the investigation archives on the main page of our site in the following section:

Its not a huge addition like some of the locations we do but its important this place is a giant museum of the sorts and its a location people should know about. Honestly, when you browse the web very few people have websites like ours that provide coverage of ghost towns, asylums, historic sites etc etc. I always try to view our viewers a little bit of everything so that their is something for everyone viewing.

With that being said the next addition that I will release will be the ghost town of Stillwater. I should have added it a long time ago and forgot that I did that place. So ill get cracking on it and should have it out by early next week. We have some nice stuff coming out on the site in weeks to come believe me so you should always take the time to view our research and work since I wont every post all I do on social media because that defeats the purpose therefore bookmark our site and always check out the updates as I release little by little the work that we do.

Middlegate Station is an awesome place its been in movies, books and allot of celebrities over the years have visited here including Stephen King and Hank Williams Jr. :) its got a nice vibe and really its a gem in the heart of Nevada on the loneliest road in America!

Peace,
