**NEW** Updates On Our Site "Iowa Hill" The Town That Never Died!

Let me present to our viewers on this snowy winter day a really awesome addition on our site of a location known as Iowa Hill which resides high up on the Foresthill Divide in the sierras. Not much remains of the town as it was a victim of fire, wind storms and other mishaps but their are some gems that survived the curse. This was an early gold rush town founded in 1853 its a place where pioneers found love, died tragically and faced every day hardships!

This is a HUGE addition on our site I put allot of effort into this project and that does not even include driving up on the cliffs to get here or the exploration or the necessary extensive research to really put this place into perspective. At one time in the 1800's this location was known as Iowa City and it almost became the state capitol of California.

The town had it all saloons, hotels, fraternal lodges, churches, theater, dance hall, grocery stores, shops, cemeteries and so much more. As a matter in fact 10k people lived on this remote ridge above the American River and allot of them ended up never being able to get out. The people that died here died here of epidemics, strange accidents, murders, elements and tragedies. Some feel that the town may have been cursed from the beginning.

One thing is for sure a 100k in gold was staked weekly in the towns hey day sadly not allot of folks know about this town. It does not get as much attention per say as Bodie or Virginia City. There are allot of nice gems that come with this addition that includes a couple lakes, mining camps, old bridges, cemeteries, allot of nature, historical relics and things of that sort so all of you should really enjoy this place.

Not only is it a great ghost town but its the gateway into the Placer Big Tree Grove and other ghost towns that we have done extensive work at. This is really an area of the high sierras not allot of folks get to see because it is a world away from a world in the Tahoe National Forest. During this exploration we also had a forest fire looming over us so the area was under smoke the entire time we were working on this project.

With that in mind please enjoy this location its known as "The Town That Never Died" although not much remains of the ghost town this location is a historical landmark so it should be shared, recognized and enjoyed by everywhere alike. People would never know about these gems if it were not for guys like me and now for years all of you get to enjoy Iowa Hill the way I did.
