Rummage sale to benefit local vets in Carson City





















There’s a rummage sale at Veterans Memorial Hall this weekend and it’s considered to be “a humonguosly huge” one, based on its flier and advertising. Although there will be a variety of furniture, kitchenware, jewelry and clothing to choose from, the cash is going towards a good cause. Hosted by the Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association Unit 137, all proceeds are going towards veterans who are homeless or are in need. “We have many veterans in the community that are in need of these everyday items,” said Joyce Jackson, secretary of the organization. “Each day we’re told about veterans  …
