Prestige Care and Carson Tahoe Health broke ground Tuesday on a new skilled nursing and memory care center in Carson City. “I’d like to thank Prestige Care for investing in our community,” said Mayor Bob Crowell at the ceremony. “Skilled nursing is a critical, needed service in our community.” The Mountain Street facility, expected to open late next year, will be in a two-story, 88,000 square foot building with 80 skilled nursing beds on the first floor and 54 beds for memory care assisted-living residents on the second floor.
