This week's GTA Online patch notes have arrived rather precariously on April Fool's day, but the event bonuses coming in the week ahead are no joke, though the free sweater up for grabs did make me laugh.
Drop Zone events will award triple GTA$ and RP this week, while parachuting jobs as well as biker sell missions, work, and challenges will award double GTA$ and RP. You'll also get a one-time bonus for clearing any five Stunt Jumps, and you can grab free parachutes, bags, and smoke to take to these high-flying events.
Of course, the real free bonus this week is the *checks notes* Bigness Jackal Sweater, which you can get by participating in any parachuting job, and which I initially read as Bigass Jackal Sweater. Nothing like a free sweater to motivate me to jump out of an airplane. Does it double as a parachute, I wonder?
Down on the ground, the latest GTA Online patch notes are serving up another suite of vehicle discounts. With 10 cars available for 40% off – including the delightfully named Dinka Sugoi, the Buckingham Maverick, and Western Company Cargobob – and the Western Company Annihilator Stealth going for 30% off, now's a solid time to buy a new ride. Garages, hangar, and hangar add-ons are also 40% off, if you need somewhere to store your vehicles.
Finally, this week's Prime Gaming benefits will give linked Amazon Prime subscribers their usual GTA$200K bonus as well as a free Kosatka Submarine sonar station. Prime-exclusive discounts include 80% off the Annis Savestra, 40% off the Maibatsu Manchez Scout, and 35% off the Vapid Slamtruck. This was a good week for funny names in GTA Online patch notes.
