150 years agoA brutal murder: The Reese River Reveille relates the following: We learn from Mr. H. B. Blake that a Shoshone Indian killed a Squaw yesterday at a place called Florence, three miles southeast of Canon City, Big Creek, Nev. The savage ruffian charged the poor wretch with having stolen his flour and raised his rifle and deliberately shot her. When our informant left the place, the body of the Squaw laid where it had fallen.
