Erie Basin Marina

The front gates were close so it was going to be a rough and long hike to the tower along the lake shore. We walked for a little over a half of mile into the wind. We wanted to cover a few familiar areas such as the Miss Buffalo, The Tower and then the Memorials surrounding the Marina.

The Miss Buffalo was not anywhere to be found they probably keep it in a safe place for the winter so we headed off to the tower. It was lit like a beacon in the night as we walked down the road. Many of the lamps in the marina were shutting off and turning back on some that we passed did this we found it unusual like the ghost were being playful with us or trying to give us some validation that they were there. We just happen to notice little things like this so we kept track of this every time it happened.

We spent sometime at the tower walking around it. There was one area I could feel something and it also was a very successful for Mark when taking photos. We decided to climb to the top of the tower so we slowly made our way up there. It was a pretty view of Buffalo from above and the lake that was frozen. Not a lot of activity up there so we went back down. It took me a long time to capture anything on film here. I spent about 8 times walking around the tower, to the memorials, to the beacon tower and back. Eventually I caught something whooshing around a corner towards us. The ghost were being very cautious here for one but for two finding the ghost was a bigger challenge since it is not one of the most haunted areas.

We spent sometime taking photos and I caught a few near the tower and then when walking near the lake my leg slipped down a hole it was pretty obvious that a lot of what we could not see laid under the snow. But then Mark fell I went to take a photo of him and fell backwards. So we had a lot of falls it was pretty icy under the snow.

We worked are way over to the docks and back to the tower eventually heading back to the car as the wind-chill was in the minus zone. We found 2 memorials one was broke in half another had missing pieces out of it but we wanted to take a few photos of them for everybody. We also came across a generator which meant power which meant a lot of energy. We both capture a few ghostly shots by the generator. Great place to take photos if your looking for larger masses of energy. We then headed off to the moon dance which is a very large yacht in the parking lot. I almost mooned off it but it really was to chilly plus the rat running around that climbed up onto it really did not appeal me to bare it.

We headed back to the front gates and warmed up for awhile Mark captured a major mass near the front gate out of all the pictures we took around the front entrance that was the only one. Then we headed off to Kleinhans Music Hall.
