Dunlawton Plantation & Botanical Gardens

I was so excited to visit this place I mean what paranormal investigator would not mind having an entire plantation to roam as well as explore in the late hours of the night. We entered the front gates of the plantation greeted by a security camera I did look at it and I smiled. I wonder if they even care lol.

We walked right away to a coquina structure it had to be part of a building for sometime. There was many plaques explaining each historical site. But more or less I was so excited I could not even read anything I just wanted to find me them ghost.

Tammy and I walked around and came across some old sugar cane machinery. Then we came across what looked like part of a weather vane on a stone pillar. It seemed like there were many different roads here leading to many different places. A lot of the places were little plaques leading to different types of gardens. The plantation sat in the middle of all these gardens but it had a real pleasant feeling here.

There were little benches all around and different signs pointing to various fauna like as we took one trail in the woods it had a sign pointing got a cedar tree stump. Some paths we seemed to take led to dead ends but each dead end had something to admire or display. Finally we took a hammock trail in the woods it was pretty eerie and we were very far away from the entrance at this point.

I then looked to my right and seen a dinosaur. I was so compelled to climb it so I had Tammy take my photo riding on the Stegosaurus back it was pretty high up. There was a sign nearby that explained that this section was called Bongoland so I knew we reached the area where we could admire these concrete dinosaurs.

We walked a little ways came across the T-Rex I stood under that then further down a Triceratops which I Road as well. But going back to the Triceratops before I got on I told Amanda to stop in her tracks. I heard walking in the woods near us. The walking sounded man-sized very heavy and it was coming towards us closer and closer. I just froze in my tracks and knew something was inside the sugar mill gardens with us. Tammy also heard it and when we started talking the walking started to move away from us. We are very sure this was not a Bear or some other animal since the Sugar Mill Gardens are fully fenced off and gated. Whatever was here was very big and making a lot of noise.

We then eventually hiked the trail and came out to an area with another garden which had a bunch of what appeared to be roses and rocks which you could walk around. I was pretty turned around at this point. We found this one little path leading to an area with like dozens of benches. This seemed to be an area perhaps they have special events and others can sit down and listen to someone speak maybe about the history here.

Eventually I found a road which led us into the sugar mill ruins. The coquina ruins of the sugar mill, black gears and coquina chimneys really stood out even in the dark. I walked around took some photos of the wells and structures. I did not feel comfortable here this part just seemed very uncomfortable I felt watched, felt a lot of cold spots, Tammy felt something go past her. This seemed to be our pot of cold during the investigation. Lots of history to these burned ruins. I did not see any ectoplasm here but I can tell you we were not alone.

Eventually we started to head on back the ruins were interesting. We visited a stone bridge and finally found the last of the four dinosaurs. That one caught me by surprise it looked like a giant bear guarding the bridge. We had some fun taking photos there then we started to head on out.

When we arrived outside the gates I was taking some photos of a stone building, wood doors and gate. When all of sudden I seen a mass of energy dart out around the front entrance. So its kind of strange to capture ectoplasm at the front gates and not inside where the ruins and plantation are. Maybe they did not expect me to take my camera out again perhaps caught them by surprise or maybe they were like stay out you goofball lol. We then walked down the dark road to another area where the ruins of the sugar mill are visible just to say out good-byes.

The Dunlawton plantation turned out to be quite haunted though and will be working with this place perhaps a few times. There is just so many different sites to see here and archaeological places to read about. Plus the fact that I pulled a shoulder muscle, had a fence poke me in the ass, and  tripped on some Coquina Ruins I am very alive just a lil banged up today. But I am sure there is much more to see here its a fairly large place but it was a very interesting investigation and after our visit here we ventured off to our next destination the very foreboding Gamble Place.
