Deland Potters Field
I was pretty worried about trying to find this place since I was on foot I had one shot to walk the distance and hope I calculated it correctly. I must had walked a couple miles at least to get here including a stretch of road so dark I could not see my hand in front of my face. The road did not bother me to much but since a graveyard on the way here aligned the road for a half of mile my walk was not the most comfortable.
I finally reached the area vicinity where the Potters Field was supposed to be ended up walking near some woods and if anybody has been to Florida the brush and woods are so thick anything can hide in there including gorillas, elephants and anything paranormal. So I walked to the
edge then decided that perhaps the area is to thick to get to so I walked
all the way down and took another road. This was starting to turn into a nightmare trying to find them.
I ended up taking a very thin road which dipped down a hill and was surrounded by quite a few willow trees. The air was so fresh you could smell the trees, grass, earth unlike alot of places I visited. The road became much darker and next to it was a fenced in ranch with woods and trees shining my light i thought perhaps they were on the other side of the fence. Finally at the dead end of the road I seen what looked like tiny little stones and a gate then I knew my search was over but I also knew that this may be the start to one of the most active Florida Investigations yet.
Make no mistake about it my first photo taken an entity literally jumped out towards me right at the front gates and not once but rather 3 times. So right away I knew that they knew I was here and not just one ghost but probably dozens. I then proceeded to open up the gate by unlatching it and walked inside.
I stood at the gate and tried to focus right away no doubt in mind I could hear running in all different directions I knew I was not alone. The Potters Field was very full many stoes were very small, some tipped or embedded in the ground and towards the back was woods and an area almost pitch dark.
After hearing the running for awhile I noticed the obvious such as the bats making noises above my head. I felt only 2 to 3 areas that were very very ice cold here. But this place intimidated me to a point but there was a sadness here as you can imagine that not all graves are marked that I am walking on.I did notice there were many children and some stones were fairly new so the Potters Field still is in use but you can tell the departed do not get many visitors.
The ghost here are very active and at times the light from the flashlight easily reflects off some of the tiny smaller shiny type of stones. So that can throw you off at times. The feeling of being followed here is almost to over whelming. It seemed like no matter where I walked I did not feel at ease. I felt like whatever was here wanted something perhaps rather they are lonely.
There was a time when I was walking towards the back of the cemetery I thought I heard some mumbling or a mans voice. At this point I finished off the rest of the cemetery and
latched the gate. I noticed the entities only followed me about 100 feet down the road then it stopped. So they did walk me out and the photos here will be amazing because looking in my camera I could see entities just dance and jump right in front of me.
I spent a great deal of time walking home down some hilly streets and some areas have no street lamps so it was quite an interesting walk down various roads to get home. I even found 2 new places to investigate in the future. But tonight was a real magickal knight it did not matter where I went the stars were out i felt ghost all over such as the big historcal homes, mansions, parks, even the front of peoples houses. So the potters field turned out to be so far one of the most haunted areas here in Deland as I thought it would amazingly such a hauntingly place
of interest.
Peace,
Rick
