Exploration Dedicated To True Urban Exploration

 

    

Have you ever woke up one morning and been like hey I am going to climb a mountain today. That is what this trip was about straight up no preparation just getting up and going.  The nice thing about living in Las Vegas is the huge amount of places to hike at. Their are caves, canyons, desert, mountains, hills etc Nobody can ever put you down for climbing a mountain even our hate groups because some of these places around Vegas are do or die scenario. You have no room for error you trip on a slanted rock you will fall to your death. 

This was more of UE rather then a paranormal expedition. Although the area is plagued by UFOs....strange accidents and mountain lions when the sun goes down. This exploration took place at Click Here: Red Rock Canyon/Calico Basin White Rock is just another part of it. 

From now on depending on where I explore here I will make a page of it. This region however of Red Rock is called white Rock. Its strange because most of Red Rock Canyon is either red rocks some of them yellowish in color known as sandstone. While White Rock just does not fit in with the local scenery. You will notice in the photos this if you look at the photos from this exploration.

Its not a huge mountain but when you reach to the peak you are at one of the highest points in Red Rock what consumes all your time is the fact of how rough of a climb it is. White Rock has thousands of boulders, crevices, drop offs, slanted steep slabs of rocks etc for me to get to the top and back to the car took a few hours.

To get to White Rock you have to off road then you can park at this area which is historic. The area was used as a prehistoric kitchen. The mounds around it were used as baking pits also known as Agave Roasting Pits by the native Americans of the area. The site was a camp not yearly but seasonal.  They were called this due to the Agave that grew around the pits.

Further studies had shown that in the Agave pits Big Horned Sheep, Tortoises, and Rabbit bones were found. Its a great area to view the Big Horned Sheep trust me they are out there. They leap 20 feet rock to rock and they are the reason alot of people hike at Red Rock Canyon for.

I did not see any but I have seen a photo from a friend taken of a whole group of them on White Rock.  Not to far from White Rock is a man made water hole called the Guzzler. Near White Rock and the hills there are ancient Petroglyphs I did not see any but they are supposed to be on the backside. Behind these mountains are woods, streams, springs, falls and more vast mountains.  There is just so much to see and do one could spend a lifetime hiking in this area. You never know what you might find.

Near the peak we found a rock split into two piece. We were able to find shelter between the two rocks from the sun and in front of us was a huge drop off overlooking all of Red Rock. Totally amazing place totally amazing exploration dedicated to my friends of Deggi 5.
