Oakwood Cemetery is one of the largest cemeteries in the Warren PA area. I compare this place to that of Forest Lawn here in Buffalo. The cemetery I believe was erected in 1863 at the same time St Joseph's Cemetery was formed which was erected and has a statue which was dedicated to foreign war soldiers in 1925. When I say large I mean this place makes most cemeteries look like a needle in a haystack. This cemetery is so beautiful as it sits in the mountains and hills. You could probably spend a day just hiking through it looking at various crypts, stones, statues Ect. .

Jim use to tell me how he use to explore the basement of the mausoleum which is now filled with dirt trust me photos below prove it lol. But that Mausoleum is the focal point of all energy in the cemetery just a real overwhelming feeling back there.

I have now currently visited parts of the cemetery on 4 occasions so I have seen most of it.. However you could probably investigate this place 10 times and still not get to see everything. Imagine how many ghost haunt such a place? Probably 100s of ghost however in just a short time I started to realize that I did not have to wander very far to experience the power of the unseen here because this is a mystical cemetery surrounded by alot of different energies.

The cemetery is beautiful if you look at some of the day time photos you can see way off in the distance a mausoleum, a chapel, crypts, statues, rolling hills of stones. Also refer to our St. Josephs Cemetery trip in portal 4 to see some.

I thought I seen it all when it comes to burial grounds  but truly you have not till you visit here. I seen one crypt with a giant statue on it and another grave that was made into a stairwell and even a stone gazebo that had a husband and wife buried underneath. There is even a veterans area with a monument and man on a horse copper statue. Most beautiful cemeteries are not very haunted perhaps because there is a certain peace or tranquility that surrounds it but this one is different you have so many different types of burials here everything from children to civil war vets.

What I basically wanted to do when I visited here is to prove to others that there are ghost here and the cemetery is haunted. If this place were not so far away and I had more time I would probably work with this cemetery at least 10 times and also St. Joseph's cemetery which is connected to it is nearby you can see that investigation we did back in 2003.

What makes this cemetery more ironic is that the refinery which is near by is probably the biggest cause of death in the area considering the air that you could breath over years and water drank could cause cancer which leads to death. So the ghost and this cemetery remind us that man is a danger to himself and his creations.  Their is alot of graves that were moved to this cemetery from other cemeteries in Warren when the town built up.
