Tuscawilla Park is one of the oldest parks in the Daytona area and is designated as a Frisbee golf course. Its 90 acre natural setting makes it a wonder to the area with its creeks, bridges, palms, and of course the Museum of Arts & Sciences.

The museum features a planetarium and some of the oldest Coca Cola Memorabilia. But it also looks into the fascinating worlds of art, science and Florida history of the upper class.

Also near the park a 13 foot tall 130,000 giant ground sloth was found which you can see at the museum. There actually was a dinosaur bone yard found in the area.

The area also has gardens, nature trails, and giant coquina stone weights. Not sure of the total history of the park or its foundations. Its a pretty old area and at one time I do believe a house use to exist within the park.  There is also a garden here and a veterans memorial which is very grand.

The park has a reputation for crime and rapes that happen on its trails. I would not recommend anybody going here alone trust me when I say this. But the park is haunted and very gloomy at night. The word Tuscawilla is Indian so at one time or another it may have been the site of a Timucuan Village.
