Not a lot of history is known about the Transit Hill Houses. Although one thing that stands out about them both is they are very old and most likely been abandoned for many years based on there condition. The houses sit by themselves where at one time nothing but woods and farm fields existed. The first house you see is 2 stories and has a very old stone basement its a pretty large home with the old style sinks from 100 years ago and almost everything still remains in this house from furniture, to antiques Ect. Of course as temping as it is to want to borrow the grandfather clock or paintings on the wall the ghost here are more priceless. You can feel something looms about in the first house that feeling of being watched little odd noises Ect. Whoever once lived in the first house was a Doctor since 1000s of files existed like a library and its card cabinets. Much of the house remains a mystery. Now the house next door is also abandoned and this is more like a cottage. It has a living room, half of a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom that is probably only big enough for one person. This house is not as eerie as the first house however again a lot of things were left behind like a couch, bags of clothes, kitchen supplies Ect. I am not sure the age on the cottage but based on the old concrete porch, and style of it I would say at least 60-70 years old. It almost seems to me that someone lived out there days here and when they passed away things were just left behind. I believe that the owners have passed away in both houses later they were probably boarded up by the town to keep the kids out from perhaps stealing, starting fires, vandalizing. This is why i believe both houses have some phenomena occurring. I think whoever lived in either home was very happy at the time based on the things that were left behind you could tell they made both into a cozy little nest years ago. Chances are if the owners did not pass away they would have taken there antiques therefore what we have is probably the owners haunting these homes or there spiritual residue left behind. So in theory what we have is 2 of the oldest homes in this area both very abandoned and both remain quite still a mystery.
