Last night was a spontaneous investigation to make up for the busy weekend I had as we made plans to investigate two locations. One of them I visited yesterday during the day and heard a few stories about the place so I figured it would make a nice adventure.

We set off extra late last night I had to pick up school supplies last night gotta get the goods when its tax free lol. But it was a really nice night to get out and weekday investigations are rare so we made use of it.

We started off by trying to find a cemetery. I swear I drove over an hour trying to find it. Jason used his sidekick and no matter what location we visited it turned out their were houses no graves heh. After awhile we gave up on finding it and figured we needed a break so I stopped at this sports complex.

It was strange cause while Jason and I were playing on this huge jungle gym lol we noticed a fog surround my car. The place had some energy and some activity but we did not investigate. We just caught frogs, played around, and relaxed before we headed on off to The Monastery.

The Monastery

We entered the Spanish gateway and drove down a very overgrown dirt road which curved around to this Monastery. It was pretty dark out here so it was hard to tell what else existed on the land. But the Monastery itself sat their dark, alone and was radiating a very gloomy energy. I mean to see that dark bell tower, big iron gates locked to the court yard, and just looking at the size was amazing.

We walked around it and then visited the pool area. The pool I am sure use to not always be their but when it changed ownership it was used as a club house for a nearby golf course. We entered inside and were greeted by a locker room and restrooms. We could not believe the condition inside this section as lamps hung from the ceiling by wires, lockers were tipped over and their were holes in the wall. This place obviously suffered from some angry visitors. I heard a noise near one of the lockers as well.

We then walked on into a fitness room with a bunch of small rooms. It was eerie seeing a giant work out room, boombox, and workout equipment motionless. The mindset began to set in I felt as if something out their was watching us. I mean this is the type of place with many narrow passages and turning one you just never know what is around the corner. We went into this one area that probably was an office and eventually we walked out into the courtyard.

We did not explore the courtyard yet but it was dark with an old giant tree. We entered a hall and found what looked like blood on a wall it was red and splattered. We found it to be odd nonetheless. But we did head to the grand hall which probably was a prayer area for the monks. I mean when walking in this area it looked like a church without the pews or alter. The ceilings were very high up and wood. The windows were tall and arched. We were taking photos and this was a wide open area so I felt as if something was here and was able to take advantage of the space to watch us.

Jason called me over cause he found a towel and someone's shorts. Their was also a bag of stuff and next to it a giant chef's knife. This is the type of stuff you see in a horror movie. This really put up a high alert for me cause at this point I did not know if someone was in the monastery with us watching quietly.

We went back out to the court yard and their was a giant kiln or furnace with firewood in it. Their was alot of interesting sites to see in the court yard like stone stair wells with lamps on both sides, long corridors with hollow small windows. The court yard bothered me alot I felt like on all sides of us we were being surrounded or watched. Once in the courtyard their was no really solid way to leave this place so we were here for the long run.

Jason and I entered in the kitchen which has rumors of being haunted. I broke the tip of my knife accidentally on something so that was that lol. We entered into the kitchen and it was gloomy. Their was grease still in the vats, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. We found this old microwave oven with an alien sticker on it haha my favorite ALIENS yay. But we thought it to be an odd find.

The kitchen did not have alot of activity it was hotter then anywhere else in the Monastery and this was no small kitchen. It took alot of walking around here between the shelves and ovens. Their were giant cockroaches crawling all over and a old wooden walk in freezer inside. We also found a meat locker and another freezer as we went into another part of the kitchen.

We came out into an area which was the restaurant. Their was this giant fireplace, tables and it was pretty wide open. We went into another area that was probably part of it but had no tables just a giant empty room. Eventually Jason and I walked up to the bar. I was playing with the soda machine and he was pulling down glasses from the bar. Their was a calendar and even some pictures a little girl drew up in crayons hanging on the wall.

The bar area was pretty cool but eventually we left the kitchen to go explore the court yard. Their was a room we were able to look in and not get into. It appeared to be for storage. We also noticed alot of potpourri and vases around here.  We were trying to find a way into the bell tower so we went up these old wood steps and found an area with a bunch of newer locked doors. They were most likely just small rooms that ran along the sanctuary. They probably were rooms for the monks to reside in.

We took a few photos and went back out into the court yard where Jason and I found a way to climb up onto the tile roofing. We were up on the roof and entered a few double doors on a balcony leading us right into another restaurant. We first went into the kitchen it was not as elaborate as the one down stairs but it had an odd feeling.

The upstairs area was different their was a giant room with a few tables and chandeliers. This probably was the dining room I noticed one Chandelier to be a few times larger then the rest. Jason and I found another bar upstairs so he went behind it and was pretending to be a bartender. I heard some voices within the Monastery they were off in the distance but it was obvious we were not alone here.

I then sat their at this one table where their was empty plates it was odd. It was like the table was all made up for me lol. It was an open invitation. Eventually we left and went back out onto the roof. I walked on the roof all around and started to slide down it cause it was wet and trust me walking on wet tiles is no fun. But I caught myself from falling off. We then found an area and jumped off the roof that was lots of fun but we were safely back into the courtyard.

The last area we went to was the one where we found the knife.  We wanted to check out the bell tower and once again I broke my knife in 3 more pieces. But we did get in and their was no stairs leading up to it. We did find a chain on the outside which at one time were used perhaps to ring the bells.

After this we left and went out the large wooden doorway back outside and concluded the last part of the investigation which would be to walk around the outside. We walked around the outside to take photos and found a bunch of stairwells leading upstairs also a small back entrance leading to the downstairs kitchen.  It probably was the area for the air conditioners, garbage disposal, etc.

We then walked back around and found this stone walkway and curved stairwell. We looked up seen an elevator and an area that had a third floor. We did not find any stairwell inside leading to the third floor so we thought that it was odd that the only way was an elevator. Must had been something special up their lol.

We then walked to the pool deck area their was some lawn chairs and tables. The pool was just an empty concrete pit. Their was security lights out back so they would turn on and shut off every few minutes. I still felt watched from some of them locked rooms we could not get in upstairs maybe a ghostly monk or something perhaps.

We then walked off to the car and I noticed my knife or what was left of it was gone. When we left to go to the car I only had a handle and 1 inch of the blade left. I was pretty confused how it vanished maybe an entity took it or was playing around with me. At this point I was not sure caused I used my knife to unlock a few various doors.

We ended up having to retrace our steps so we walked up the dirt road to the monastery and a car went by. I am sure they got a glimpse of us running behind this tree. So they stopped when they got past the tree probably thinking whoa what the hell was that moving lol then they drove off real quick.  We went back into the monastery in the sanctuary area thinking I left it their and sure enough it was not their.

We walked around the entire monastery and another car came I dove into a bush Jason was hiding along a wall lol. Just a few more people to scare and make their night I suppose lol. We then went back to the car and the mystery of my disappearing knife probably will never be solved.

In conclusion to the investigation their was some amount of activity like on one occasion I heard a noise in the courtyard and when their was a cold spot here it was very heavy. I would conclude that the monastery is haunted maybe because they took a place of ancient traditions and made it into this bar and club. We do hope to return here and work more with the activity here.
Peace,
Rick
