The springs in the Las Vegas valley were first in habited by the Native American people 10,000 years ago. I chose the place because it is very ancient. I do alot of ancient places unlike alot of groups out there. We were the first paranormal group EVER to visit here its not like TAPS that goes taking places I do already and turning them into money makers. Were not about turning ancient places or historical sites into money were about preservation and history. We also like to share the paranormal activity. Due to a very short lived investigation of this area I only got to take a mild hike and short tour of the gardens which do sit on a site the Spaniards called The Meadows which means Las Vegas.

The springs formed a natural oasis with the grassy meadows sustaining people for thousands of years. As I found out or theorized their was a village for the native Americans that probably were seasonal here and further researched showed I was right. When the Spanish found it the old Spanish Trailer traders and explorers would stop here for water. The Paleo-Indians left Petroglyphs near here that explained its history. I did not find any but they can be found amongst the rocks.

In 2007 they opened up this 180 acre preserve sadly in my opinion for almost 20 dollars a person is sickening its just my opinion but to pay that much for history sounds to me like the money is more important then sharing it with the world. Its ashamed when places become tourist attractions but I do admit they keep the place very beautiful with lush plants, gardens, trails etc.

The springs kept the natives cool as 5000 gallons of water per second rushed out but what is more unique is the springs preserve design. The ceilings in the buildings came from an early 1900s trestle bridge from the great salt lake railroad. The carpets are made out of recycled plastic bottles, the truth window is made of a straw bale, wind cools the air from a wet membrane on top of the tower, furniture is made from sunflower seeds and all together it makes the green building.

Within the 180 acre area is four trails which go through a desert wetland and their are historical sites. You have to understand that these springs attractive the railroad and used the water to feed the steam engines. I believe some tracks can be found within the preserve.

The Las Vegas springs Cinega trails weave in and out grassy  meadows. With over 35 new species of wildlife which road this area including birds and even foxes. Many types of trees grow in this area like cottonwoods, willows, mesquites, and even acacia trees.  Along other trails you will find a collapsed barn and caretakers house, adobe foundation and a few other sites which go into the history to the area.

Also within the preserves is an 8 acre botanical garden which has various desert landscapes which has a Frame House a 70 seat kitchen for outdoor cooking. Its very interesting cause some of the plants are non native and yet still grow wtihin the desert.

I do declare the location haunted sure TAPS take this one from us to why your at it lol. I think people need to wake up and see how hard we work. We are the one group in the country that comes up with Original locations you want to do a show on them give us credit say The Paranormal & Ghost Society was on scene originally first. I will put this almost in every prologue we do cause its the truth.

Alot of mystery surrounds this location and I feel even on the dunes or what we do not see might hold alot of ancient artifacts considering a village existed once here. The Mormon people just down stream established the Old Mormon Fort which we also investigated.
