Old Spanish Quarter Village
The village is probably the most haunted and interesting part of St. Augustine. We notice first off that not a soul was even out we had the entire city to ourselves. Although nobody really lives downtown or in the Spanish Quarter Village there were a few bed and breakfast places, and small houses weaved throughout the narrow streets.
I have done alot of investigations in my time but none like this. I mean not only is there alot of history here but the ghost are so abundant that you could actually feel them out. There is so many shops, taverns, and buildings with them all locked down for the night there is almost a gloomy
ghost town type of feeling.
I mean a few times Aaron got a glimpse of something looking out the windows, or certain alleys we felt watched at, or on some of the balconies above the shops we felt like something was just watching.
The Spanish Quarter village is full of old wood buildings, coquina and cobble stone walls, colonial houses and so many other beautiful structures lining the stone walkways. I mean not even cars can enter the village it is totally preserved with many antiques lining the sidewalks, vases, gardens and fountains even.
We seen so many different shops I remember seeing a mystical shop, shoe shop, shell shop, an Irish Shop, Historic Cafes and things of that sort. We seen in the distance a man by one of the shops standing there staring at us. We do not even know if this was a person or ghost. Because all the shops were close in the village and we did not see this person before while walking around the village.
We broke this investigation up into two parts we took a few photos around here then visited Fort Castillo De San Marcos. Then we came back to do some more exploring.
Spanish Street and the village will talk at least two more investigations there is just so much to see and explore. But from walking up and down the streets we notice some areas were lit very well while some alleys were very dark as we walked along various stone walls and archways.
One of the locals was driving down a side street when we were walking. He looked scared as he was delivering papers from his truck. The man pulled up along side of Aaron and me just stared at us. Aaron was maybe 8 inches from his window. Then the man all of sudden speeded off guess maybe we did not scare him but perhaps what was standing next to me did lol.
There were you typical signs within the village of activity such as cold spots, movement, feeling of being watched especially from the upper balconies and windows. Then we had that man just staring at us and a few times I was able to actually see the energy of various entities as we walked around. Downtown St. Augustine is a world of its own really I mean the village is very much alive even after sundown or without anybody physically even being there. We did in between hiked over to Fort Castillo De San Marcos to take a break from the alleys.
