The Rock Away Apartments side on a hill out in
the country. From afar it looks like one giant mansion or house till you
approach it and see the mansion is actually many apartments with another
building on the property with even more apartments as well. I do not know
when this place was established however based on the old furnace, a cobble
stone foundation and basement, old wooden doors, and Victorian windows in
one of the areas I would say this place is roughly 100 years old. There is
also another house in the back which belonged to the caretaker of the
property. When you visit this place the first thing that comes to mind is Bates
hotel. Where you check in and do not check out. The question we have
to ask is why was so much left behind? Everything from furniture,
antiques, children's toys, microwaves, books, tools, plants, vases and the
list goes on. As tempting as it was to keep a souvenir it makes you wonder
how many others have taken advantage of this opportunity. Each apartment
was different one smelled of decomposing very strong, another one looked
like a party house, another one looked like a place where there was alot
of kids. The house almost looks like it is about to be sucked in the earth
parts of the foundation are collapsing and giving away only held by some
limbs in the basement. It is very overgrown and sits near a bar. The
property is for sale but the sign is even hidden in the brush and has
fallen over. I do not think anybody wants to purchase this property I
think because of the energy that is here. You can sit back and just
imagine how much over the years so much had to occur due to the amount of
many different people living there over the years. You would have fights,
parties, deaths, etc obviously in one apartment we found a walker used
most likely by an older person. So the variety of people who lived in
these apartments varied and with people comes spirits and many different
energies. We have to ask ourselves the big question however as to what
happened here. Why was it left in this condition? Why did everybody leave
so quickly and even leave there things behind? Did the owner die? Did the Hauntings
scare off everybody? What really happened? Now it is for sale and may
remain for sale otherwise someday this old historical place will be
demolished no doubt.
