 Palatka St .Joseph's Cemetery

I could not believe how large this place was. We followed the front side for awhile then made a right hand turn as it also had a lot of depth.

All the gates were missing throughout this place. Little did I know that across the street was the white section of St .Joseph's and that we were in the black section. So apparently when the cemetery was formed it may have started off as a black cemetery at first then the white section was formed across the road.

Donna and I could not believe the condition of this city cemetery. I seen everything from beer bottles on graves....to graves being buried under dirt. It was bad...and the entire cemetery in fact is so overgrown I almost felt like we were back in Bardin hiking again lol.

Their was a lot of garbage in the cemetery cans....food wrappers....and dumping. Its a neglected cemetery in poor shape many of the stones have cinder block walls...some are broken in pieces. You could tell its more of an eye sore then a place of serenity. Some of the engravings on the stones were pretty interesting I took a photo of one of them.  We seen a the grave of a couple who both died the same day and year in 1963 probably a car accident.

Somehow I wanted to visit the older section towards the front and got way ahead of Donna. She was so deep in the cemetery that I could not even see the flash from her camera nor her light. The place is thick with woods and brush. So we went off our own separate ways which is fine to sometimes you get better ghost activity that way.

I made my way to the front was calling for her. Slowly I turned around and bam there was the ghost of a woman she walked from left to the right. She was only about 30 feet out in front of me a shorter...black lady...chubby.....and she moved very fast after perhaps two seconds of seeing her move really fast she was gone just as quick as I noticed her. Not sure why I seen her I guess that she did not expect me to turn around so quick.

I tend to be all over the place when I am on investigations people call me paranormal lol I even at first said hey Donna I am right here thinking its her well it was not. Donna was way off to my left in the back of the cemetery taking photos.

I was no surprised at all I felt ghost at this cemetery .Almost all the graves were upper burials...some were cracked wide open while others the engravings were eroded or broken in pieces. Perhaps its condition has increased its ghost activity.

I didn't noticed anything to strange just a very overgrown neglected cemetery. The ghost even today still sticks in my head. So many paranormal investigators spend years trying to believe....trying to see something and so many do not but my last place of the night paid off so I am glad Donna showed it to me.

After my ghost sighting it was time to call it a night I had a long rural drive home. That is when I noticed the white section of the cemetery across the street which was in a lot better condition but I passed it up because it couldn't get any more eerie then where we were just at trust me lol.

I actually made it home in an hour trust me its a long drive but I flew home was so excited about my night I couldn't wait to get typing this report lol.

Its hard for me to drive at night especially alone cause I get now tunnel vision and I get in a trance sometimes to a point where I black out at the wheel. So that's another reason why I tried to get home fast. Its another reason why in the future I am going to need someone to come along even its just for the ride or other drivers. A lot of it has to do with the air in FL it affects me for some reason perhaps its the humidity not sure though.

On my way home I had a bad encounter with a drunk driver he was all over the road...turning his lights off...throwing things out the window....swerving etc it was bad and I had to pass this ass had no cell phone to call it. I am not sure what goes through these peoples heads down here getting behind the wheel without having any self control.

I finally passed this guy and made it home okay. The drive home is nice cause its a real rural route I like it I always try to imagine seeing something strange on the road whenever I take this road. To make matters worst the fog was so thick I could not even see the road pretty bad really especially on this route where trucks and cars pass one another constantly.

In conclusion we didn't get no EMF activity at any of the places...I took EVP...photos and each place had some level of activity to a point nothing to crazy  I think most of you are going to enjoy these rural cemeteries....and reading about Bardin when its all up on the website.

We didn't have any problems no people run ins....no getting stuck in sugar sand...no beasties chasing us...maybe watching but not chasing lol. I think with each of these places their is more that remains to be seen...ghost...creatures whatever I mean the first few places sit near a national forest one that is full of hundreds of trails that go off to nowhere so the thing that makes it interesting is the element of surprise. I mean you hear a branch break...or you hear an unknown creature in the woods....or you catch a quick glimpse of something and the more you see the more you want to do.

When you least expect something to happen It does. Donna had shown me an article about a  cemetery in that area that was dug up on accident for some power lines. It was destroyed and strangely I read about it before she showed me the article or read about its history and how it no longer exist then she shows me the recent article.

That is how this area is forgotten...secluded...and strange. So the investigation went well only wish more showed to take photos...gather evp...and gather evidence. But one thing I can someday pass along to others is that I was out during the night of the comet something Ill never forget along with having the booger perhaps watching us in the woods....a bull getting ready to charge me....Indian Chanting....and a ghost that was caught in the act trying to escape me from seeing her so was it an amazing night? You bet your ass it was!!

If I had more time I probably would visit Barden again and do a deeper 4 to 5 mile hike but in reality that is what makes it more interesting is when you keep the legend alive. For those that think I am talking about a nose booger I am not lol the Bardin Booger is what appears to be a bigfoot like creature that has stalked the local residents of Bardin for 20 years it has been sighted by quite a few people even till this day some pretty horrifying experiences! I think the entire area has some level of energy and strangeness to it. If anything some of those places were pretty creepy!

The sand spurs were not fun poor Donna every place she went she got them stuck and trust me when you pull them out they cause your fingers to bleed they hurt. Lucked out I didn't get any till I walked through some brush up in St .Joseph's. So I had a few stuck to my ankles...and shoe laces.

I would have had this report out sooner but its been a bad day for me...my son sprained his ankle racing me...my other one got a piece of something in the heel of his foot and me well now my dial up modem blew up. I had a spare modem but no drivers so I had to spend three hours playing around with drivers to get the modem working and well my system had a serious error blah blah I hate computers. I fix one thing and another thing goes. On top of that my keyboard is now broken to the space bar does not always work so it has taken me ummmm hours upon hours to do this report so I hope others will appreciate it lol. So six more places to add to my journeys!

For those that are not aware of it if you look towards the handle of one of the dippers in the sky you can also view Comet Holmes but only for a week or two more so make sure you go out late at night and look towards the sky cause this is a very rare phenomena it has no tail or anything its just a giant ball of gas and particles that give off a very pretty glow!

Our next trip? Well I  will be heading to Savannah Ga in a few weeks to hike on foot to some of the most haunted proposed places in the country. So state tuned for Haunted Savannah before or after Thanksgiving Day Weekend!  Ill be taking the next few weeks off to get caught up on the website and packing to move. peace
