At one time back in the 1950s Kissimmee was just a small town. There was no major cemeteries except for a few pioneer ones which do not even exist today. In 1958 a man by the name of Horace Phipps opened this small cemetery which began on just 10 acres of land. It would serve people in Osceola and Orange counties. Now Phipps son in law runs the cemetery.

In 1989 the cemetery expanded to another 13 acres due to the growth of Disney. Eventually two funeral homes were built and by the year 2000 another 10 acres were added but are not developed as of yet. After this a cremation garden was built.

The cemetery is full of gardens and a mausoleum prayer building which you will see in the photos below. Its so well taken care of that you almost do not even feel an ounce of ghostly activity. Although the Mausoleum is so huge and full of permanent guest that the main focal point within the cemetery is this area from our data collected on our excursion here.

You will not find any fancy angel statues or anything of the sort 90 percent of the cemetery is flat stone burials. There is the Great Tomb Mausoleum, A Chapel on site, funeral home on site, courtyard, and babyland.

Its a nice peaceful place not the most haunted by sometimes as a ghostbuster you need serenity.
