Mt Charleston is perhaps the best getaway your going to get as close to Las Vegas. Its a totally different fauna perhaps 20 degrees cooler and yes it rains up there. I can see Mt. Charleston right from the street I currently reside on. What you will see is more of an exploration rather then a paranormal investigation.

The area has history...mystery...and its very vast. One can visit one of the look out points which you can see vast desert where nuclear weapons were tested at. I could only imagine what a mushroom cloud would look like from afar its that great of a view.

Mount Charleston sits at almost 12,000 feet and is the highest point of the Spring Mountains. It is also Nevada's third largest peak. The spring Mountains divide the Amargosa River Basis and Pahrump Valley from the Las Vegas Valley. Closest cities to Mount Charleston are Las Vegas, Pahrump, Indian Springs and Blue Diamond from what I read. This range of mountains runs for about 50 miles that is a HUGE area when you think about it.

The Mountain is known for its harsh snow storms which can trap people in their cabins. It has its dangers like once a Western Coach bus rolled over injuring 40 girl scouts. Its known for its camping...skiing and hiking trails. Its like a magical getaway just outside of Las Vegas. What gets me is why the city was not built in the mountains and forest rather then this desert.

It almost seems like Las Vegas is a perfect desert location...you have the lake outside of it...red rock canyon...Mt. Charleston etc etc its almost like its part of a grand plan like it was designed a certain way where one could leave the desert a half hour later and be up in the woods to cool down.

The main question is perhaps is that are Bigfoot living in the Humboldt-Toiyabe Nat'l Forest? Which is the forest of white pine that surround Mt. Charleston? I have only read a few sightings about this. Its not a large national forest but its big enough for something to hide in and  based on my studies I do believe there are caves in this region including some man could not get to. But Bigfoot is not a man he is an extraordinary creature built to perfect in leaping, running, hiding and perhaps even hunting for his food.

Ghost who knows 4 people were killed in a plane crash on Mt. Charleston! It has alot of history to the peak and forest surrounding it and with history comes the haunts. I remember many years ago visiting this place once never took a photo sat down on the picnic bench had snow around me. Then recently we were able to actually do a little hiking get some photos for our members to see. 

The Paranormal & Ghost Society is both a paranormal group and an Urban Exploration group we do both and we do it well. Even if we get nothing on camera we want you as members to enjoy these places and cherish them as we do through our eyes.

The name Charleston was given by John C. Fremont while he was exploring the area. It refers to Charleston South Caroline which was his wife's hometown. The forest around the mountain is roughly 316,000 acres so could bigfoot hide here you bet. General Fremont also visited Bonnie Springs an area we filmed at.

At almost 8000 feet their is a lodge with 23 log cabins. The lodge is historic and its a secluded area. I will take the initiative in the future to maybe stay here if I can find someone special lol. Because it is a haunting romantic location its something I think I need to experience for myself.
