I am sorry that this report is a week late I know some of you been kept in suspense so now I will tell you my story and about the project I worked so hard to put together. I know some of you enjoy watching shows on television on ghosthunting. But the truth is what we do here is nothing that you will ever see on TV. Its nothing but straight up real adventuring to places most of you dream about. I can say I was there even with my shirt promoting our society from May 21st till the 24th!

I know that I am far from done with my legacy with The Paranormal & Ghost Society and that once again we will bring you nothing but the best continuing to bring you it free. Although we hope members will donate more often even if its a buck a month reason? Well its simple we work hard at these excursions ill take all the risk and bring it right to your homes. Not all trips we take are about paranormal some of its about the what if’s....some of it is about photography....capturing beauty. But nonetheless our trip was a mix of various events some fun.......some crazy creepy adventuring all up in the Mount Zion and Saint George area of Utah.

One reason I do not mind living in Vegas is I am just hours away from some pretty interesting locations this being one of them. Its strange the way life works you dream about going somewhere then one day your standing there like holy shit man we did it. I enjoy visiting these places we do it for those stand on our side and for our friends.

I have been to places recently that are like no place on this earth. You never realize how many ancient locations exist in America but their all over right before our eyes. Each has tales...legends...stories of treasures....life and even death. Every place I visit is like my child and I am its father as I embrace its history and beauty.

I first wanted to say before I get on with the report I apologize for our lack of site updates. I am the only one who builds and works on our website. Each exploration I do I spend a long time researching it.....making our own banners.....writing its history....sharing its photos all for the purpose of our members having something great to admire just as I did with my own very eyes.

Very soon many things will return site updates......our radio show......meet ups like the one this month where ill talk about Mount Zion in person etc. But I look back and think wow this trip was old school like when I use to go out of town up in NY. I want my fans from Buffalo NY to let you guys know you are loved by me very much. I know half of WNY hates me but I know the other half love me because I brought paranormal adventuring to that area and publicized it then I moved on because there are so many places and things to see. So I have no regrets of being in Vegas if I wasn’t I would never have visited this gem which is only a few hours from me of a drive pretty cool if you ask me.

The trip would include a story on Montezuma’s treasure......ghost tales....ghost towns......extreme hikes....and even an old farmstead literally miles from nowhere. I already miss it wish I was still on the road. In turn my trip to Zion I drove in a few days 1000 miles actually a bit over so yeah I was busy my entire trip driving and exploring.

My trip would include Mount Zion National Park Utah, Three Lakes, Gunsmoke Movie Set & The Robinson Farmstead, Escalante National Monument, Mount Carmel Cemetery & Stone Church, Grafton, Harrisburg, Silver Reef, Silver Reef Protestant Cemetery, Silver Reef Catholic Cemetery, Old Iron Town, Saint George Cemetery Utah, Meadows Massacre Site, Modena & The Lund Hotel and Modena Cemetery. Its been awhile since we did anything like this and your going to like these places. When I left each place I shed a tear reason being is you go to some places like this its you just you. Their isn’t Burger Kings.....or millions of cars.....or grand thefts. There is however nature.....oddities...ancient history.....and lastly you. Makes you feel like a kid when you can visit a location sit down on the hood of your car and think how untouched some places are. Its like back East people have seen most of it but out West its vast and their is always something new to see. The Buffalo roam wild near three lakes for example how cool is that? I was born in Buffalo NY and raised then to be passing by some wild ones is like ummmm we never seen this back east.

So with that in mind ill began my long journey into so many events that it makes you question fate and destiny. Things turn out a certain way because sometimes they are just meant to turn out this way. We hope this trip we revitalize others interest in what it is we do at www.paranormalghostsociety.org considering we have been around for almost a decade were still doing what it is we enjoy that's exploring. I hope that others will explore with us in the future as we get deeper involved with more projects like these.

Mount Zion National Park

You could spend years exploring here its all I have to say. It took me 90 minutes to drive to Saint George I couldn’t wait to hike around. I dropped all our things off at the hotel and booked to Zion. When I drove through these little towns everything was so much greener weather was gorgeous and the Virgin River tempted me to jump in hell in the buck if nobody is looking wtf right lol.

I got out of the car the fresh air smelled like honey suckles the high cliffs off in the distance made them seem like we were within walking distance of Zion. I had the cooler packed with beer.....soda....tons of food....since my kids and Tammy would be on board for this trip. I really do not have a team but I know I can count on my family to help me and support me in what I do. I have to admit Tammy and my children are probably better hikers then most people who have joined us for excursions over the years.

My trip here was breathtaking and I even seen a couple large cats at night near the road running as I passed them so yes they do exist just rare to sight. One thing that upset me a bit is the cost its rather expensive to visit National Parks at least the passes can be. The area has so much to offer though and allot of wildlife something you do not see much around Vegas.

We arrived at Zion talked to a ranger strangely three days later that same ranger remembered me probably my foul hat I wear and ink all over. But nonetheless the park was packed thousands of people hiking...taking shuttles....photos etc. This in no way is secluded however if you chose to stray their are private places in Zion nobody hardly visits including narrow slot canyons with sky scraper like cliffs and even ancient Anasazi cliff dwellings and pueblos. This trip we would not work with the ancient cities but I promise you in the future I have plans to visit some and you will have the chance to be on board for that trip if you chose to become involved with our society more.

The one thing I enjoyed is the shuttles which gave us a tour of the area and that really helped when deciding where I wanted to hike around. Although finding seats can be a little hard I felt like I was chasing city buses. I am not a big fan of buses but hey a bus of girls and Lord Rick why not. I am in nature who cares right? So we stopped at this location our first day where water pours down the cliff and you can walk under it. I thought it was cool and hell not to far near there I seen a squirrel. You do not see things in the desert like that which is why ill be moving up near Sacramento Ca or Reno NV hopefully by the end of the year. I been looking into it and will continue so we can start to draw in members from that region who want to hike with us.

I remember seeing out the sun roofs of the shuttle the high cliffs and well lets just say many have slipped while hiking falling about 1200 feet to their deaths. I tried to take it easy this trip on my climbing it gets me into trouble sometimes. There was some stone walls and a bridge. The virgin river had areas that the sides of mountains were collapsed. I was not at Mt. Zion for its ghost though but rather to share with you a natural wonder. My journeys we take are so much more then just the unknown. These places we visit may one day be no more just remember that.

I did not get to check out the old stone visitor center its historical bet its a great place for evps. I had allot of fun relaxing up here as I would take one of the more crazier trails later on here but my first day I stayed just a couple hours on shuttles....walking around breathing in the good air. I passed angels landing its almost death itself for so many who fall of its cliffs because the trail is so steep and narrow.

On my way back to the car I decided we should beat the sun going down and head out to an area called Escalante where at least 200 Westerns were filmed. I would go right through the middle of Zion.

We traveled through a tunnel to get out of Zion it was slow waiting on traffic but its worth the trip. Their was a smaller second tunnel I ended up holding down my horn as I sped through the tunnel. The kids ate that one up its an old tradition of mine don’t care how old you are were going in that tunnel making some noise. My trip was to the 3 lakes although will talk about that later in my report.

My second day into Zion was much different I didn’t get in parking was backed up for miles and I was going to hike down a highway for miles. They had shuttles in town but they were full it sucked so I had other locations to explore. Sadly when they turn a place into a tourist attraction it loses allot unless your like me who is into exploring your going to hike with 50 others or get on a shuttle with grandma and the golden girls.

I turned around it was cool and was a little upset because it was 20 something miles out of the way. I would on my second day instead head up to some ghost towns and skip Zion. Trust me real ghost towns with cemeteries...mines....ruins etc good stuff man.

My third day in Zion was different I parked out on the highway ran across the road caught a shuttle at the lodge free of charge. This was my party day here at Zion I had plans to smoke a joint right in the middle of the park. I don’t give a shit I brought the booze to lets face it man this isn’t something that you see or do on a daily basis so suck it up and see it for what it is enjoy.

We went to this one location which has 3 high cliffs small trail more for older people they have benches at the look out point. I had fun chilling here awhile I know all about the power of these mountains at one time ancient tribes roamed this area searching for food just as Mormon Settlers as well. I got to see what they once seen not much has changed over the centuries with the land.

We then went over to the Emerald Pools which is composed of lower...middle and upper. I hiked to the middle ones although I was near the lower ones but had to get going so didn’t see all of them. The hike to the pools was a pretty good steep uphill climb for over a mile. We crossed the river then followed a ridge which went higher and higher. It is a bit dangerous to a degree afterall you are following a cliff higher and higher up. I had my kids stay away from the edge meanwhile I am taking photos standing right on the cliff. I stood inches away from one of the cliffs looking down at the twisting river. My kids found a spring they drank the water it was cool and clear they said it was great since it was warming up. My son also caught a lizard people on the trail were mesmerized yes folks lots of lizards in southern UT they are pretty cool to catch and check out.

We made our way up to a flat area that had a few pools of water not as greenish in color and the rock was slippery. I did not get to close to the cliffs due to this factor but the kids and I followed the stream up. Their are signs no entry past this point not sure why its safer then hiking along the cliffs. The stream was nice little waterfalls....big rocks.....trees all around us as the path crossed the stream many times.

I found a shelter built into the stream....water fall around us...a huge one up on some cliffs ahead that probably drained into the stream. I partied back here awhile had some snacks and I was enjoying myself no people around it was a nice hidden area we found. The boys went off climbing rocks searching the stream. They were liking it and it was magic.

We hiked back we made good time I almost went off a cliff serious. I was walking along the edge of a cliff my left foot slide on some loose rock and pow almost went over hundreds of feet down fun stuff. I seen some folks looking I was cracking jokes about seeing life pass before my eyes but hell even if I did fall id grab whatever I could even if meant hanging so I wasn’t worried their was a few trees growing out from the cliffs 50/50 chance of survival so that was that.

I almost kissed the ground level and well we had some tourist take a scenic shot of us also my son was arguing with his brothers so he was like 3 feet off to side in the photo so much for a nice family portrait...got two smiling kids and one pouting like he didn’t get his bebe gun for xmas lol.

My last hike in this area would take place along this trail that followed the rapids of the virgin river. It would actually meander at the base of some of the cliffs with meadows of flowers....wildlife such as deer grazing....not allot of people but allot of cyclist. I almost got into a fight some dick mouthed off to me told me I better move or he would move me. Ha I like to see that one ill throw him in the river and moon the *ucker over the railings no conscious my kids and I are going to take photos of eachother regardless of what some dick thinks. I cannot believe how inconsiderate hikers are getting these days they act like they own a place instead of just smoking one and being at peace.

The trail was a couple miles not a long hike but man I seen 6 deer grazing the photos are sick. I have spent many years perfecting my photography for you guys so you will get to see these shots free. Some sites charge I just want my work to be appreciated and you will understand trust me.

I left Zion after 3 days of visits to this area was sad I didn’t want to go could have stayed another few days exploring but it was nice. The weather was gorgeous....their was allot of nice people out hiking who were friendly.....and the kids had a really great time.

I am not sure the level of paranormal in the area but I did drive through Zion late at night. The roads are hard to see and its curvy not a fun drive. Tammy thought I was going off a cliff because the road curved real sharp. I can imagine the forest and its canyons have some level of ghost activity. Your talking allot of accidental deaths here and well what it boils down to mainly is common sense and safety. Its a great hiking area and there are miles of wilderness to explore.

I did not feel anything to odd here but the Mormons did believe this was the promised land. I believe it has allot of energy one would have to spend years up here monitoring the strangeness to some of the more secluded areas perhaps where people have fallen to their deaths or drowned in the narrow water filled canyons.
