Woodlawn Cemetery was only 10 acres back in 1914 and the design was by J.T. McWilliams. Not sure how he designed it from my opinion it is just a large rectangle piece of land with perpendicular roads with a few graves in between....alright?:)  

The cemetery has a Veterans Circle that commemorates the service and sacrifice of Nevada's Veterans.  Believe it or not they consider this to be a historic cemetery in Las Vegas. When I entered it I said to myself everything looks like new. The grass was softer then a carpet yet in some areas it is obvious you still are in the desert.

There is a smaller older section where you can see some wear and tear on the graves. That section is the only part of the cemetery to have more then just flat stones. Today its 40 acres but much of the cemetery is empty while other areas have hundreds of graves. The cemetery does have some famous Internments such as Fred Hesse and William Briares mayors at one time in Las Vegas. Also Billy Guy the musician is buried here. What is even more ironic is J.T. McWilliams is also a guest of Woodlawn and why shouldn't he be afterall he designed it. Its a very interesting place for Las Vegas and its about the only cemetery action you are going to get due to its large size.

Along the wrought iron fence the homeless sleep. Its not an eerie place but it is a significant site I believe that has a little energy. Some of these people are what made Las Vegas.

The grass was so thick in Woodlawn that when I stepped near one of the graves both my feet were submerged in water this seems to happen alot to me lately and so my advice is if you join our team get better shoes then what I have lol.
