The Langdale Homestead is a farm in the middle of the woods very very secluded actually. Back in 1875 a Reverend had owned it and it was a agricultural supplier for Saint Augustine. Their were periods that it remained abandoned and of course the last 50 years its been vacant suffering from being overgrown.

This is the type of place no paranormal investigator wants to do alone this is the type of place you do not do alone. Currently their is some restoration going on the oak tree out back is at least 300 years old as some of its branches grow on the ground. It might even be one of the oldest trees in the county besides the oak in downtown St. Augustine.

The house is about as southern as it gets with the big old white wood porch,,,very slanted roofs with the tall windows. The barn was made for stage coaches you can tell the style of it. There is even a small guest house on the property for the servants. Hell their is even a well and perhaps even other sites hidden in the overgrown woods.

Sadly the place is falling apart and as far as getting inside think again boarded...locked and alarmed so for the vandals think again. But as far as me it was one of our more eerie investigations. Imagine hiking down a overgrown road deep in the woods on foot...then all of sudden it curves right into this open area and  you see the dark house....with the barn surrounded by large oaks. That is the type of place it is its the type that haunted or not it will send chills down your spine.

You can feel the ghost here no doubt about that along with something else in those woods. Its an old area very much a plantation style type of place. More of a modern plantation from the later 1800s but nonetheless it was a place where a large family lived and made their living off the land and this place is just an example of it! If other investigators or groups had not let me down I would have given this case to them so its location will die with me but its a great place...even the birdhouses still stand rotting away...believe I even seen a tree house off in the distance totally the closest thing I have seen to a real abandoned farm in FL.
