The Lancaster Ghost Engine Sits on some
very unused train tracks which are now used once a day if not that for a
local cargo train. The ghost engine sits there at one of the dead ends and
is obviously very stripped down and vandalized. Along with a very old and
double length box car. The inside is very stripped controls are missing in
the cabin, it is rusted, seats are ripped out etc. I cannot say that this
engine or its boxcar are haunted. However these tracks have always
bothered me at night and the first time I became interested in this engine
was when Jason and I visited it and explored it during the day. At that
time I felt odd and knew I had to return and try and get some photos of
some possible residual energy. When we think of trains we must consider
the history that comes along with them. How many engines hit a person in
there operation? How many trains hit an animal? How many engineers perish
and later come back to something they enjoy such as the feel of being
behind that much horsepower. I do not know what type of engine this is
however it is green and yellow much older then the newer ones that you see
today. There is no place for the engineer to sleep let alone any room
inside to move around. I believe that this engine was replaced by a new luxury
engine which is owned by the town of Depew/Lancaster. Now and then on
these same tracks you will occasionally see very old passenger train cars
which they park once every few months outside and have yet to board them and farther down the tracks is an old steam engine which someday I will
get some photos to add here of it for everybody to see. Why is there ghost
engines on these tracks? What is there history? Do the ghost of the past
still haunt these tracks and remnants of the past? We shall find out!!
Copyright By Rick-AngelOfThyNight Update: About a mile on the opposite end is a series of many tracks most lead to dead ends most likely a train yard. Which is used daily to ship wood to other warehouses in the area. Parked on one of the dead end tracks is an old steam locomotive with Canadian Pacific written on the coal car. The engine is enormous some of the wheels alone are 6 feet in height and I would say the top of the engine is over 15 feet in height. To even get into the engine itself is a good climb up. What I find scary about this engine is its size imagining how back in the days you would hear about these train wrecks that would kill 100s and now I know why these steam engines are so large and powerful. I do not know the history on this engine but it obviously has been on these tracks for many years probably over 30 at least since the tracks are old, rusted, ripped up, rotted and the factory has cut its operations over the years. There are cargo cars 2 of them near the engine as well one is on tracks the other is not. The cars are very long and are now used for storage. Alot of tools, tables, shelves inside and lights line the ceilings. The cargo cars are very eerie they look like something you would see in the xfiles where they are doing some experiment inside. I found the tracks, engines, cars to be haunted mildly. You will get things like foot steps, a cold spot or hear a noise it may be the tracks are haunted or it could be some sort of residual energy left over from the past. Locomotives and Train cars were used 1000s of times bums would hide in cargo, accidents would occur, people would die, engineer spirits would come back to haunt there own steam engine and the list goes on. When you put together all the possibilities you can see that the paranormal is not so strange after all. Copyright By Rick-AngelOfThyNight On a final note I believe that these train cars, steam engine, coal car, and older freight engine should not be left to be rusted, spray painted upon and vandalized. I wish that these would be put in a museum. So since they are not this is one reason why I am bringing you a special investigation and photos of them. Put some our investigation photos together and some of the photos on this page and let your mind do the wandering? Most trains are haunted as well as most train tracks. Enjoy!
