This discovery I made its fairly intriguing as my first thought may have been that its a Bigfoot Encampment. Now I am not saying that Bigfoot made it but based on some of our research in the area and finds we can tell this creature possibly has been here. In this documentary your going to see scientific proof all the way from the giants den to a scuffed up log with a rock to even a mutilation and a snare. The logs used were pounded deep into the ground their was also wood pillows, tracks and even a golf ball. Now we have had over twenty people claim they built it so spare me the charades someone is lying so with that in mind lets just have a little fun broadening our horizons.

Nothing of this magnitude has ever really been discovered in this region high above Nevada's capitol of Carson City. This encampment will blow your mind included are multiple clips, forensics work, evidence, photos and even music from our friend from Winters Thrall. Do you dare to enter the monsters lair this is not a bushwhackers or bark shelter made by the natives. It was fortified and designed to battle the wind chills as well as heavy snows of the high sierra that derive off of Lake Tahoe. This is a great area for human or a monster to hide as it comes with many deer, berries and even a few creeks to provide water.

Their is a Sasquatch in this video supposedly more then one which was cropped by a friend of mine named Tina. Although some of you want to dismiss this video the evidence speaks for itself keep an openmind and just remember we have other locations surrounding this canyon that support my research extensively. This is an area full of strange stories it resides in the Sierra Triangle and the natives for hundreds of years have many tales of Bigfoot, Tessie the lake monster and strange creatures called water babies or what I always theorized were UFOs which often made the natives sick. So really such a shelter is really not that far fetched or out of the ordinary or a creature like Bigfoot roaming the mountains in the Carson wilderness.

I know that some of you will call this a tee pee due to your inexperience just as you will not believe and were not asking you to. Were asking you to consider the open possibilities of what might be lurking considering last few years of research at Genoa Peak, Luther Canyon, Lake Tahoe, Spooner Lake, Hobart Reservoir, Ash Canyon, Jobs Peak, Wade Point, Slide Mountain, Cave Rock, Marlette Lake, Flume Trail, Washoe Valley, Slide Mountain and many other areas close by we have had experiences at. Now I know some of you think you know everything to know based on these lame paranormal monster shows where they are paid actors and set up a production crew right by the road. But we worked hard for this and to bring it to our viewers so take the information we have given you using it as a source to further education yourself about how Bigfoot sustains itself and some of these creatures natural behaviors.

We have encountered UFOs, Bigfoot and Creatures above Carson City therefore I can say with certainty these things exist in those mountains above the state capitol even if you chose to not believe it. My son and I came across a monster a few miles from this shelter one night so we know something lives in these mountains. I know some people are stuck on these cheesy Bigfoot shows but we are privately funded and I can assure you will tread where the angels dare not too. She shelter is really not the most major find on the expedition but its something we can branch off of just like any investigative group.

You have to understand that its okay to theorize and speculate that helps us compile more research but if you are rude then we will not work together. When I compile such works they are based on other sightings, strange disappearances and our own case work in the high sierras. We cant say who or what built the shelter but we can speculate and at least try to keep an openmind. That will allow us to do further research but to also bring other experts on board in the future on our team to continue doing what we do.

History, Overview & Prologue

Kings Canyon Nevada is as historical as it is one of Carson City Nevada's best kept secrets. I never even knew about it till recently some of my companions friends told her about how we should check it out because of its beautiful waterfalls. But also just behind its foothills is the edge of the Sierras as it transitions from high desert into the lush Toiyabe National Forest. Despite it being so close to Carson City it gets remote real quickly as many peaks, canyons and forest grace the canyon. Not to mention the fact that it also is a gateway over the Carson Range to the rim of Lake Tahoe not to far away from a place called Cave Rock which is also as sacred as its revered for its lake monster sightings called Tessie.

Kings Canyon dates back to ancient times when the Washoe natives used the canyon as a seasonal migration path to and from the Tahoe Basin. The canyon would serve as a means for them to hunt and gather food for their tribe. The ancient trail today still exist if you continue to climb up into the canyon itself rather then over it like we did so we could get great photos of Nevada's state capitol along with a better perspective of how vast this region really is. You will learn that just from browsing through our scenic photos and of the forest itself. Its a rugged wilderness most of the locals who visit here never venture much into it others live deeper on in the canyon itself.

Time to time bear and deer make their way down the canyon ending up roaming Carson City. Sadly at one time the forest use to be much more lush but due to lumbering and careless campers who burnt down some of it today it is less forested then it should normally be. If you decide to take the waterfall trail their is a plaque which states that Kenneth Carvin, James Davidson and Jon Ivins who fatally injured when the helicopter crashed fighting one of those blazes in 1976. I see it all the time people do not put out their fires even though water is rather abundant in some of the smaller canyons including seasonal creeks. Just as in 2004 another massive fire swept close to the region actually surrounding the falls which destroyed a dozen homes and even a commercial building. So we want others to enjoy this place but also to help us preserve it since its not only home to many flowers and wildlife but also America's most elusive creatures known as Bigfoot!

Also whether you believe me or not my son and I were hiking in an parallel canyon to the north one night when we came across this monster. Now I have no idea what you would call it but it was black, hunched over, extremely large white eyes and tall. When I say tall I mean the creature was able to stand up or was moving in a bipedal motion. Later on when our backs were turned it crept up behind us then leaped literally off a cliff without a struggle. The Hobart Reservoir, Ash Canyon, Franktown, Marlett Lake and Red House are all accessible sites found above Kings Canyon to the north. As you can see I have invested allot of my time and energy by doing credible research. Although this region is vast in just a very small area of it I have experienced something that is similar to The Rake, Bigfoot and UFOs on more then one occasion. How can we or even I turn a blind eye to this? Perhaps their is some kind of connection? The Washoe who migrated seasonally through Kings Canyon and early pioneers who sought interest in Eagle Valley where Carson City resides today must had similar encounters. Back in the 80's people were going up into these canyons above Carson and some were NEVER seen again! I want to know the truth and sometimes it is the truth that consumes us! So when you browse a case like Kings Canyon understand that all of this is purely done with blood, sweat and tears LITERALLY!

During the gold rush Eagle Station was built in 1851 at the mouth of the canyon to help serve miners and pioneers who came to the region seeking gold. The gold miners actually would use the canyon to cross into the Lake Tahoe basin and eventually up into California. To be honest with you their appears to be allot of trails within the canyon including some old logging roads. But keep in mind for anyone who dares to brave this frontier if you want to go where we went you will leave those roads. With that in mind prepare for running into bear, mountain lions, rattle snakes and possibly even Sasquatch himself. This was pioneer country all that glowed in these mountains was a few candles in the stations windows back during that time period. Today their are hidden areas in the forest above Carson nobody knows about places a creature like Bigfoot could live elusively for years without being seen! During the gold rush such stations were built to provide some security for those who braved these mountains and this very canyon!

Anyhow about a year after the station was built a pioneer felt that the land within the canyon was very lush and therefore Dr. Benjamin King built his ranch here. As a matter in fact this is what led to the growth of Carson City as by 1856 a boom of ranchers came to the region naming the valley the state Capitol resides in Eagle Valley. Also the canyon was named after Benjamin King technically if he did not open up a ranch here utilizing the land who knows if today this city would even exist. So when you browse this addition on our site your going to see Carson City Nevada in a whole new light just as some of the early ranchers and gold miners seen it when they utilized it.

Lumber and timber was also very big within the canyon and on the peaks all the way to the Tahoe Rim. They would actually cut down the trees then move them down Kings Canyon. This lumber would be used for the construction of many local towns like Virginia City NV and the Comstock Lodes Mines. It would also be used for other projects as well to build some of Carsons historical mansions and even for the Truckee Railroad. The train also ran north and south to Carson all the way to Minden and up to Reno where it would intersect with the first transcontinental railroad. We did the Donner Pass Railroad Tunnels and some of that timber may have been railroaded to this region to be used in its construction.

In 1947 another ranch came to be in Kings Canyon we know it exist because today many of the original old fence post still remain in the ground including an old gate. Some Basque Sheep herders Pete and Raymond "Dutch" Borda herded them in the upper canyon. They also would move them from the canyon up to Dayton however the problem was is that Carson City was growing rapidly so their was no way to move them without having to go through the city itself in the 1970's. I mean seriously can you imagine driving sheep past the Carson City State Capitol Building and the Carson Mint? The family eventually turned over the ranch to the public in 1997. Today many private homes some even with their own ponds reside in this scenic canyon and it is used by hikers. The most famous location within the canyon is the amazing waterfalls. Their are actually three of them that are next to eachother and over 20' in height its one of Carson's best kept gems.

Another interesting fact is that within the canyon after the civil war Camp Nye was built which in 1864 and only seen its use till about 1865. It served as a home base for the men of the companies D and E 1st Nevada volunteer cavalry during the civil war. When the war ended the NYE camp was formed to combat the Native Americans who would at times attack some of the local settlers and ranchers in the region. The Paiutes of Pyramid Lake Nevada did not have an adoration for the white man settling in the area so as pioneers attacked the Indians they would also retaliate in return. So the camp was there just in case anything like this would happen. Even though their were no major battles fought near Carson one of the first military forts in the west seen most of the action called Fort Churchill. I believe that because of this forts centralized location that it actually led to Nye Camps demise. However keep in mind that Company D did suffer two deaths in NE Nevada. When the camp was abandoned their were stables, barracks and other buildings. None of them stand anymore actually the nature has consumed the camp and were destroyed when many of the mansions were built within the canyon.

Unlike most paranormal groups who might focus on one topic or another our society does feel that its important to teach people the history and the paranormal. The two kind of go hand in hand but so many people visit the canyon never realizing that it was this canyons growth where Carson City technically began or rather was its birthplace. That is why this location is so relevant not just historically but its a gateway into the Sierra Nevada. One could hike on foot from downtown Carson City and eventually journey to the Tahoe Rim. Its a hell of an adventure with no paths other then your freedom. Back in the day miners had to make the trek high up above Carson City to work some of the mines. I found a couple old mining pioneer wagon roads and remnants of an old camp. Not much remains of such sites but a few wooden boards where maybe a small cabin stood. I believe one of the mines in the canyon was called The Premier!

In prehistoric times giants roamed Nevada for example proof of that is Giants Cave in Lovelock NV. These giants would steal the women and children. But they also were cannibals and yes they would kidnap some of the local natives as food was rather scarce. The giants or what some might call the wild man, bigfoot, yeti, sasquatch and Si-Te-Cah a name given to them by the natives may have been pushed up into the Sierras or wilderness. If they were hunted to almost a degree of extinction then its quite possible that they made the migration through Kings Canyon to become elusive in the high sierras. It would make sense that if the natives used it in ancient times and more then likely these creatures to. The forest would provide them with fresh water, berries, edible foliage and plenty of game to sustain themselves.

I believe even till this day they come right to the edge of the high desert over the sierras to peer down onto the valley much like we proved during our Jobs Peak expeditions which overshadows the town of Minden and Gardnerville. Before the population boom these creatures even made their way past Bowers Mansion and use to be seen on the shores of Washoe Lake. So when you browse our scenic gallery pay close attention some of the areas I photographed like the lake from afar as our expedition took us above Kings Canyon were at one time Bigfoot hotspots. This also includes Slide Mountain where we had an amazing UFO encounter. Slide Mountain is visible once you reach the top of the canyon.

Above Kings Canyon is the Tahoe Rim where on the otherside is the old Flume Trail & Marlette Lake known for its Bigfoot activity and even UFO sightings. So in theory it would take very little effort for a creature like this to come down to lower elevations or into Kings Canyon then by dawn head back up into the wilderness. There are allot of peaks, patches of thick woods, smaller canyons and hidden areas surrounding Kings Canyon which has led me to believe that a creature like this could be physically using Kings Canyon in the cooler months as a means for survival of this species.

I found this out when we made one of our biggest scientific discoveries in my career thanks to allot of blood, sweat and tears, To try and preserve this creature but for others also to learn about these creatures habitats and migration patterns. All in the process that this addition to our site allows you to get in touch with nature, picturesque views, history and even beautiful cityscapes. But it also reveals to you what a Bigfoot encampment looks like and how it is set up.

The encampment we found was made with massive tall logs they had to be carried in then they were slammed into the Earth and locked into a tree. One of the ends particularly the NW end seemed to be heavily fortified to guard against the cold and wind. Inside was a triangular series of logs bark was stripped off so that the pulp was much softer perhaps used as a head rest. Their were three of them so its plausible to say that maybe their was a male, female and adolescent Sasquatch. Inside the den was very wide and tall imagine that the Teepees the natives were built were only half this size if not less. Their was space between each log in theory it was designed to take 100mph winds and still remain standing. All the logs were locked into one another using the pine tree between where it began's to branch out thus making it extremely durable.

Next to the encampment we found the joint and bones of a deer. The deer bone had no visible teeth marks nor did it have any signs that a predator took it down. However it had signs that someone or something snapped the bones in half based on the fractures and breaks that we discovered while examining it. It had looked as if the bone marrow had been sucked out of both of the bones and that something in an upward motion snapped the bones wide open to get it. So when you take the bone we found and the massive logs used to built this den into consideration you can say whatever or whoever made it was very strong.

Nearby the den was a massive fallen tree or log rather laying on its side. We found a very unique rock it had quartz crystals inside of it. It was a very large rock I could hold it in my hand but not with some struggle however if these giants of our forest were to do so they could with ease considering there strength and large hands. After carefully examining the fallen tree we found hundreds of nicks and scuff marks as if the rock was being banged against it. Some of the grooves created from the rock were rather deep while other times pieces of wood had been hit so hard with the rock that chunks of wood had been removed from it. I tried to replicate the marks maybe even remove a small piece of wood by banging with the rock and could not replicate it. So in theory whatever did this was again extremely strong. Tree banging or knocking is often done by primates however with Bigfoot it is a warning system so that when humans get near they can do this so other giants of our forest can remain elusive from any human activity.

Below the log hidden in the grass was a golf ball which is not something you would see this high up near the Tahoe and Carson Rim. The ball had a funny odor but I found it strange that it was below the log with the rock sitting on it. I speculated that the ball had been taken from a golf course a few miles below in northern Carson City along the edge of the Toiyabe National Forest. Not to far from the den was a pine cone with a small little string tied onto it. The pine cone had been thrown multiple times looping around various branches higher up in the tree. Both finds in theory speak volumes as if they were being used as some sort of play toy maybe for a young adolescent Sasquatch like creature. Also primates love balls and even like a feline things tied to string they will play with them for hours if they had access to either.

Not to far from the den we did find a track no hair or stool samples though which we found out. The track was very wide and very large it was old. It probably was made in the earlier Spring months when the ground here is much softer thus whatever made it was heading towards the encampment and was fairly heavy based on its depth. I cant say for sure a human or a bigfoot like creature built the den. What I can tell you is based on my study something at one time was using it and I do believe it was Bigfoot. These creatures will take advantage of any place they can lay a bed at especially in the cooler months. This may include abandoned houses, barns, cabins, twig shelters, rocky out crops and caves.

Surrounding the encampment was and abundance of wildlife such as groups of large deer, fresh water, vegetation, berries etc enough so sustain a creature like this if need to be. Then den itself had no fire pit or signs of any fires being burnt. Which means whatever ate the bone marrow had eaten it raw without cooking it. Technically if you were to sustain yourself at such an encampment you would want a fire to keep you warm unless you had at thick hide. Not to mention that the location was very remote not any trails I am really the only one who could take you there and that is if its still standing based on the fact if something was up there watching. However in theory I believe something used the encampment for the winter months this is because during milder winters the snowfall is very little and your really protected from most of the snowstorms of the high sierras.

In theory the Native Americans revered to these hairy giants as a tribe not as a primate as these creatures may have for centuries watched the Miwoks build their bark homes thus were given some knowledge on how to build them. It was fairly obvious that when we arrived what made it or lived in this den maybe in the Spring went back up into the high sierras. You can see in some of our photos how vast it is from a peak we climbed. A creature like this could follow the peaks of the Tahoe Rim then go down into areas like Luther Canyon where two years ago we found many large tracks at in some hidden remote locations. These locations can also be used to reach remote regions of the sierras just by following a narrow canyon or climbing over a few peaks like the Great Sierra Canyon Of Genoa Peak!

Technically this elusive tribe remains elusive because it understands how to live off the land and in the winter months build shelters that can sustain themselves. The discovery we made here may be some of the best Bigfoot evidence in the world it is something every cryptozoologist hopes to find. Sure we see tracks even have sightings but to find something built by the hands of these giants is BREAKING NEWS for the scientific community. It just confirms that our research in this region the past few years holds allot of weight and that these creatures are as real as you or me. I often wonder if they peer on over into the towns and cities below the sierras our of their own curiosity or maybe even the want to be human like us. But see the problem is that their are poachers up here and man is this creatures greatest threat to its existence. Its such a vast area that it is very easy for such a creature to make its way up to Showers Lake, Meiss & Round Lake, Lake Dardanelles and even the Desolation Wilderness all journeys such a creature could make within a day of other locations we did research at. All areas where we have found credible Bigfoot evidence at! These giants of our forest they are very real and something has forced them into hiding but that does not mean they do not leave traces of themselves behind because they do if you are as meticulous of a scientific team as we are. You would really have to be looking for such evidence hardcore in order to find this place let alone that it exist.

You have to wonder if the Washoe Tribe who made it through this canyon in the warmer seasons had ever witnessed or experienced any encounters with such a creature. I would like to talk with them however some of the tribe does not like us others do so maybe they can shed light on our finds and tell us what they know. I am willing to bet that centuries ago there tribe may have had some encounters with these giants especially crossing on over the sierras down to many of the lakes that reside beyond Kings Canyon. You have to wonder if some of the local ranchers in the 1800's may have had encounters with this beast maybe stealing its chickens or some of there sheep.

Aside from all the strangeness in the Kings Canyon area one of the most prominent sites before you enter this canyon is C-Hill which boast an 8000 square foot flag that overlooks Nevada's state capitol. Roughly a 1000' above Eagle Valley one can see great views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the west and beautiful desert scapes to the east along the foothills that are green in the Spring that are found along Kings Canyon. To meet the Forest Service's demands so that pilots and motorist are not blinded the panels were painted with a non reflective clear varnish which dulls the gloss. It was made with 390 4 by 5 foot aluminum panels which is quite phenomenal in itself.

When the attacks on September 11th of 2001 took place many of the residents of Carson City came together to renew the meaning "United We Stand". At the time before the flag came to be on the hill designed out of rocks was just a giant C but a Dan Mooney and Gilbert Ayarbe shared their thoughts about how nice it would be to have a flag up here and from their on it just grew in momentum. Donations starting pouring on in it was an amazing engineering feat with it being 120' long and 67' high. Just six weeks later by October 21st after the World Trade Center tragedy this flag stood proud over Carson City.

Its support came from many sources the Nevada Appeal and US Forest service on which the flag was anchored. The Honor Prison Work Crew dug 20 huge holes to anchor the frame for piping and beams. Donations came from everywhere from fast food restaurants for the workers all the way to Boy Scout Troop #44, Vietnam Vets, WWII Vets, High school Students, Tradesmen and even local families. Carson City truly is a remarkable city I spend allot of time there and its one of the best cities to live in America. All the flag does is reminds us of our liberty and freedom that we all share. I also know it says not to walk on the sides or the top of the flag but we only did it because this was a research project so we need to have the photos of the flag and Carson City so our viewers can put its size into perspective. So we made sure we took photos from below the flag and above it so that everyone can enjoy it in a patriotic way.

If you start at the bottom of C-Hill one of the earliest pioneer cemeteries can be found in Carson City and found here within the state. Its definitely worth a stop if you have the time and your a history buff like myself. My son and I did research here both ghostly and non ghostly finding it to be a very fascinating location so very few know about. You can take a tour of The Carson Welsh Pioneer Cemetery by clicking the link to see it covered in a beautiful winterscape. It certainly just adds to the history surrounding the Kings Canyon area. Some of the interments here were some of the first people to traverse Kings Canyon today they are buried below it.

Kings Canyon is an amazing place it has history, mystery, lore and even one of the large flags in the country. We hope our viewers enjoy a more in depth look into this amazing canyon and all that is worth. At one time people use to mock me saying there is no such thing as Bigfoot in the state of Nevada. This is just not simply true especially Nevada's western border where national forest and wilderness are very abundant containing a fairly abundant bigfoot population. Throw that in with some UFOs and the Sierra Triangle and you really have an area full of strangeness and the unexplained. So when you browse these pages we want you to delve deep into Kings Canyon as you never seen it before we hope that we can take you on this epic journey as this is home of the monsters den just above the state capitol of Nevada.

Human bones found near Spooner/Kings Canyon

Human bones found near the Douglas-Carson line by an inmate work crew are being examined to determine a cause of death for the person.

Sheriff Ron Pierini said Tuesday that the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Northern Nevada Correction Center around noon Monday that a crew doing conservation work found the remains. The bones were located about 300 yards north of Highway 50 near the top of Spooner Summit, between the Tahoe Rim Trail and Kings Canyon Road in a remote wooded area, Sheriff’s Spokesman Sgt. Pat Brooks said.

Investigators gathered as many of the remains as they could find on Monday and sent them to the Washoe County Medical Examiner.

Pierini said the bones had been spread out by animals, and appear to be from someone who died between six months and a year ago.

He said investigators are contacting other agencies to find out if someone was reported missing in the Lake Tahoe area.

Douglas County hasn’t had any reports of a missing person in the area over the past year.

“The bones are at the Washoe Medical Examiner to see if we can find a cause of death,” Pierini said. “He’ll help us with DNA, so we can find out who this person is.”

Douglas County Search and Rescue was called out to help search the area for any evidence related to the bones.

Pierini said no identification was found. Investigators are processing the scene of the discovery for clues.

“The question is whether it is a homicide, a suicide or a natural death,” Pierini said. “We should determine that fairly soon.”

Pierini said the bones were definitely of recent origin.

PS: There was a person who said they made this supposed shelter then they deleted their email to me about it vanished off of youtube this is after of course haters did not want to sound like morons so now they are going to claim they made it to try and hurt my reputation as a cryptozoologist. Just as they broke the deer bone, banging the tree to a pulp and built a shelter designed to live in during the cooler months. Blocking out the wind stream patterns that severely shoot down over the Tahoe Rim and snow. If your going to build something for fun then why would you put a pine cone on a string or cut up a log when we studied the log and the nicks found in it were done with that rock. People will do anything to discredit this discovery, lie, cover it up or have some darker agenda like US Government trying to erase its existence; such encampment sites do exist in the remote regions of the mountains we have received other evidence of this from other scientist across America. There are also some agencies that will do anything to cover up their existence including parts of the forestry like for example up near the town of Warren Pa the Kinzua Dam region in the Appalachian mountains of NW Pa. Men in camo blocking off areas threatening people to get out destroying tracks kicking hikers off high intense bigfoot sighting areas etc. Who is to say that this same tactic is not happening here whether its by the US Forestry because they do not want local campers and hikers to hunt them or perhaps scare the masses. They exist up here and they do build shelters that is FACT something has to be making the giant tracks I found in the remote regions of the Carson Range of the high Sierras in NV and Ca you must be able to prove you built it with pictures, timestamps etc and anyone can say that especially if they think this is going to bring them some attention. I know the forestry south of here posted signs that to beware that Bigfoot like creatures are seen and spotted in the area. So its obvious their is some level of awareness while others will do what it takes to cover this up think about it!

Our second expedition would include a revisitation of the Bigfoot encampment site. Now I am not saying Bigfoot built it but its still a very strange area .I believe that Sasquatch roams the sierras above Gardnerville, Genoa, Minden, Reno, Washoe and Carson City. Not allot has changed at the encampment only this time the twine that was in the tree was now found wrapped around the shelter. Their was also a torn up Xmas stocking at the site and a few of the shelters logs were found laying inside. If you pay close attention you will see a healthy deer population. Their are always deer found here and a creek not to far away. One could say that if a Bigfoot like creature utilized this encampment it definitely would have a plentiful supply of water as well as food. The force fractured bones we found our first expedition were missing from the site. Although we did not find any extreme paranormal the site is very cryptic. Its a good area for us to break before we begin our ascension to the top of overlook peak which sits back up near the Tahoe Rim. One must wonder at one time if Bigfoot utilized the site and perhaps used the rock on a log to tree bang. We may never have the answers we seek however return to the encampment site for further study. If we make our final return to the site we will camp at the shelter itself. Each time we visit the site we learn a little more about it and often wonder what creatures may lurk within the forest around it just watching perhaps even waiting for us to pass through.
