The King Forest sits near Near Lake Helen and Cassadaga two of the most peaceful communities perhaps in all of central FL. I know cause I spend a great deal of my time out in this area. I heard about this story back in March of 2004 when I moved out to FL and I realized that this state is full of monsters and not the paranormal ones we often investigate.

Often when we do an investigation we do not do it to offend the families involved or the public. We do them to honor those who passed on this is why we are so successful when working with the unseen cause we focus all our attention on them.

Over the last couple years there has been alot of urban legends so below I am posting two articles I researched and found in archives on what really happened here. Some people told me the boy was found but not his head while the article states otherwise. The grandmother is still missing and more then likely remains out here in the King Forest which is this very wooded section where people dump garbage, party at, drink, park etc I do believe that Lillian Martin is still in these woods being a psychic and paranormal investigator I can generally walk in a given place and tell you right away if its haunted or if something bad happened here.

There is an location within the forest I feel is close to where Lillian is but this is not any normal set of woods. The woods here are very thick there is vines, heavy foliage, debris all over, and ALOT of dead trees. The entrance to the road back here is greeted by two crosses made out of wood and has knickknacks, dream catchers, angels etc to honor Lillian Martin and Joshua Bryant. Its a real sad sad feeling back here. Its just a bad place very secluded and I am sure other evil doings have occurred back here in these woods. When we parked we seen a flip flop in the middle of the road so who knows how many other bodies are buried in this area or what evil doings have occurred back here.

As I heard the story a electrical man or cable guy did some work at the grandmothers house casing the place. He was terminally ill and pretty much went off his rocker abducting the boy and grandmother. Some say he chopped them up burying the bodies. They say 6 months later he died of illness of course the article states he committed suicide. But what makes someone want to do such a horrible crime to an innocent boy who lost his mother now his own life.

I basically did this investigation to work with both of them they seemed to be extremely attached to me when I was walking down the cracked abandoned road. There are signs that a house once existed back here maybe a ranch or farm at one time cause of the little side road which is overgrown and has wood post that are rotted. So its an old area but its also an area where something horrifying occurred for one being the murder of the boy and two the burial of him. The grandmothers death and whereabouts are still a remaining mystery and since this man is dead his secret died with him.

Not to make matters worst but the area is also known to to have a crytpid of some kind we have had run ins with it and its real cause a nearby ranch had some Rottweiler's torn to pieces by it. So this is not an area to joke around with and it is police watched. I often drive past the crosses and still even to myself cannot believe that someone could be so selfish to commit such a crime.

The King Forest is what it is its eerie, mysterious, and a place where bad things have happened. If anybody who are fans of work wants to do something donate to the family below or put some flowers at the grave site. I will probably do a second investigation here to record some EVP see if we can find further clues in this case.  Its a hard case for us very emotional as with most investigations we do but its also important to share with the world what really happened!

Awhile back ago someone said to me we seem to be about the money well honestly we would not go out of our way to run this site, make our pages so peaceful, spend hours of research, put our own money into equipment, gas for traveling, film etc if all we were about is money. We are a very family orientated caring paranormal group that is why we did this investigation cause the only payment we get out of it is sharing Joshua Bryant's true story and to let others know the world is not a safe place. With that in mind keep in mind we go out every single week to places like this some places are dangerous, police enforced, some are tragic so please do not take our group for granted or life cause the world is full of monsters they do exist as the photos speak for themselves and articles below!

REMAINS OF MISSING DELTONA BOY FOUND IN CASSADAGA WOODS

An intensive, three-year search for clues in the mysterious disappearance of a 10-year-old Deltona boy has come to an end in a wooded area of Cassadaga. Volusia County Sheriff’s investigators found human skeletal remains in the woods off of Cassadaga Road that have been positively identified as Joshua Bryant. Joshua and his 77-year-old grandmother, Lillian Martin, vanished without a trace from their Deltona home on May 12, 2001. Investigators haven’t located Martin, now presumed dead, and are resuming their search today in the case that has now been officially classified as a homicide.

Along with the knowledge that much more work remains to be done, Volusia County Sheriff Ben Johnson said the discovery has been met with a mixture of sadness and relief that the family’s agony at not knowing what happened has ended. The family was informed of the discovery of Joshua’s remains Monday morning. Now the focus of the investigation turns to piecing together Joshua’s death and finding his grandmother. “This has been a very difficult time for everyone involved,” said Sheriff Johnson. “But we said from the start that we wouldn’t rest until this case was solved. We’re a lot closer to knowing what happened, and we hope and pray that will help bring some closure and a ray of solace to Josh’s family.”

The remains were recovered Friday. By Monday morning, the Sheriff’s Office’s suspicions were confirmed by medical experts who compared the remains to Joshua’s dental records. Investigators have yet another suspicion they are working to substantiate – that accused triple murderer Douglas McClymont,   formerly of DeLand, may have been responsible for Joshua’s death. Last month, McClymont went on a multi-state crime spree that left a Lake Helen man and a North Carolina couple dead. McClymont’s violent crime spree ended with his death when he turned his gun on himself just as authorities in Cherokee, North Carolina were closing in on him. During the crime spree, McClymont had bragged about committing other murders in Volusia County.

McClymont's name had surfaced in the investigation into the double disappearance after deputies learned that he had performed electrical work on the home that Joshua and Martin shared with Joshua's sister, Joanne Miller, her husband John and the couple's young son. However, investigators found nothing at the time linking McClymont to the disappearances. The case agents working the disappearances decided to take another look at McClymont after last month's murder spree attributed to him.

Back on May 12, 2001, the day that Joshua and his grandmother disappeared, a resident on Cassadaga Road reported a man carrying a roll of electrical tape, walking with a young boy out of the woods and into the resident’s backyard. The resident didn't recognize the man and, after being shown a picture of Joshua, wasn't able to say for sure whether it was the same boy she saw walking out of the woods. Still, the Sheriff's Office mounted an extensive search of the area from the ground and air that same day, but didn't find anything. Investigators recently showed the woman a picture of McClymont, and she positively identified him as the man she saw walking with the boy on the day of Joshua's disappearance. That led investigators to renew their search in the woods around Cassadaga Road, and ultimately to Friday’s discovery.

Also in the past few weeks, investigators have learned of other suspicious behavior on the part of McClymont. For instance, days after the disappearance, McClymont is reported to have remodeled the interior of a van he was driving, using his own money even though the van didn't belong to him. "We may never know for sure, but as it looks right now, we have a pretty good circumstantial cases that points to McClymont," said Sheriff Johnson. "If anyone has any information or heard McClymont comment about the disappearances, we'd like them to come forward so we can put the remaining pieces of this puzzle together and put this case to rest." Investigators are asking anyone who had contact with McClymont, saw him in the vicinity of 2379 Otis Ave. or 1046 W. Seagate Drive in Deltona around the time of the disappearances or are aware of any contacts McClymont may have had with the Millers is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (386) 736-5999.

Meanwhile, Captain Dave Hudson, head of Investigative Services for the Sheriff's Office, took time out Monday to thank the community along the hundreds of people from around the country who have reported tips, suspected sightings and other tidbits of information. "The public and the news media have been tremendously helpful and supportive in our efforts to solve this case," said Captain Hudson. "This has touched the whole community as well as our entire investigative team. The public has been right there with us from the very first day."

Joshua Bryant and Lillian Martin

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Joshua Bryant (December 24, 1990 - ?May 12, 2001) and Lillian Martin (born March 17, 1924) are Deltona, Florida residents who went missing on May 12, 2001 prompting a nationwide search. Both are presumed to be the victims of an abduction and murder. Joshua's body was uncovered in woods near Cassadaga, Florida on June 4, 2004, whilst Lilliam Martin's has never been found and she remains missing presumed dead.

Joshua spent most of his life being raised by his sister and grandmother because his mother was a drug addict. His mother died in April of 2000. He loved taekwondo, swimming, wrestling, skateboarding and cycling.

Abduction and murder

Joshua and Lillian disappeared from their home in suspicious circumstances on the morning of May 12, 2001 some time after 9am and before 11am, and foul play was suspected. Part of the home had been ransacked, but nothing appeared to have been taken. A nationwide search began and they were featured on America's Most Wanted and on a NASCAR race car. Investigators have named Douglas McClymont as a possible suspect in the case. He committed suicide on May 2, 2004 however, so the truth may never be known. Investigators interviewed McClymont shortly after the disappearance because he had done some electrical work in the home, he stated that he had been smoking crack at the time and brought forward friends as alibis so was ruled out of the investigation. The alibis later retracted their statements.

Following a crime spree by McClymont in May, 2004 investigators began re-examining him as a possible suspect. According to Deborah Bowes, who was abducted by McClymont after he murdered her husband, he confessed to murdering both Joshua and Lillian. Investigators interviewed a woman who had seen a man with duct tape walking a boy out into the woods where Joshua was eventually found. When first interviewed she did not recognize Joshua in a photo. During the new interview she was shown a photograph of Douglas McClymont and recognized him as the man who she had seen walking with Joshua. As of 2004, investigators are still searching for Lillian Martin, who is presumed dead. A search of the woods near Cassadaga in June 2004 found a lady's watch, but investigators are unable to confirm whether or not this belonged to Lillian. Ongoing construction in this area as of 2006 may yet lead clues, however.
