Indian
Mound Village
We went down this little road which heads to a little inlet that is on the
mouth of Lake Monroe and the St. Johns. More or less its a small community
built on a cove and on coves is where the Timucuans would build there
mounds.
The problem I faced is where was the mound going to be at. A lot of places
we go for our first time which makes it a fun learning experience and
allows us to gather data as we go along. We had no idea where the mound
would be so we drove around a very dismal neighborhood all the homes were
dark. Around the bend was a harbor and a dead end. I looked to my right
seen a giant hill that was our basis for the investigation.
We got out of the car and there was a white cat on top of the mound
staring at us. I am not saying its paranormal it just was an odd sight.
Indian lore talks about shape shifters, shamans using animals eyes to
watch certain areas that are sacred, skinwalkers etc etc the cat watched
us and I chased it down I wanted to get its photo and it ran down the
other side of the hill in the woods.
We climbed the mound took some photos and walked on the other side where
some steps were put in. There was a no digging sign in two different
spots. On top of the mound was cooler but I did not feel a presence there
was energy but it was more like residual not ghostly from the past.
Jason and I went up to the river there was a dock house, some older boats,
and piers. It was very gloomy here but also very quiet. From a distance I
could see my glow in the dark alien I put on my truck man I love that
thing lol. We walked back to the truck drove up the road and seen the pure
white cat sitting in front of a house staring hard at us then he ran off
in the brush.
Maybe its paranormal maybe its not I do think the spirits were with us I
mean its a very large Indian mound very old and I am not sure if the
mound has shells or their is actual skeletal remains underneath. I stopped
at the entrance took a photo of a sign on a mailbox stating Indian Mound
Village then we headed for home.
I was so tired last night cause I was up at 6am shopping at Walmart and
went for breakfast, turned around had company over for my sons birthday
party, went fishing, came back to eat cake, then took off for the
investigation was up almost 24 hours lol.
But I am happy to share this investigations with everybody and we will
analyze the photos and put them on the site as soon as I get some free
time. In conclusion to the report they were pretty calm investigations
sort of the calm before the storm coming up as we take on some
Catacombs/Caves in NY.
I do not see return visits to these places as this winter we already have
a full schedule but they were nice little ventures. I should have my truck
fully fixed this Wednesday which is a good sign that the PGS team is going
to start going back out of town going to those places most dare not to
enter.
