What makes this investigation so unique is that I put 4 years of my life interviewing, researching, and talking to others who told me many tales about this location. More so I took two flights within a 30 day period to make this happen for our fans not easy believe me. When I found out about this place years ago I was already getting ready to move from NY to Florida so an investigation of the area would not be likely unless I were to plan an expedition. When I say expedition I mean an actual journey with a team of professional spelunkers with equipment, experience, paranormal investigators etc This investigation is perhaps historical to the PGS organization in the fact that this goes beyond just ghost it also was a mix of things including adventure, archaeological discoveries, deciphering ancient pictographs, and the paranormal. Even if I were to publicize this location there still is very little history known about it. I want to go back to the pictographs they do exist but they been sealed over time sad to say but I have been told stories about them from an old pal of mine who use to go exploring NY over 20 years ago. Some told me they do not exist but they do they just been buried or entombed a few miles deeper inside. What I can share with you is what I do know and that is for one many people have gone in trying to explore this place and never came back out maybe its an urban legend maybe it is not. Most of the time death has contributed from being lost or certain areas caving in. The caverns even though appearing to look natural are somewhat in my opinion not so natural based on what entrances you journey into. It works by chambers for miles. You will enter a chamber then it will have a few tunnels then those lead to chambers then more tunnels. Its a maze and probably was designed to trap people in there so the native Americans could capture there enemies. Just as with another entrance you are able to go fairly far but many tunnels do dead end and were carved by the hands of man. And for the know it all's in WNY no its NOT in Akron sorry folks but who has the last laugh now?:) assumption is the downfall of mankind! There are over 50 caves in the WNY area some are outside of Buffalo some locals do not even know about. Some places take years to find while others are just that unexplored. That is what made this trip so special was that sure people been here but nobody has actually done a real paranormal investigation or as I said above an expedition of it. Sometimes people get curious but they do not have the know how and this place ends up being there last. Of course that is with alot of outdoor locations for example Red Rock Canyon in Nevada people hike get lost and they perish so this is not the only odd place. So for those that wanted on the expedition really were given a treat cause not only did they get to experience my leadership but we had alot of equipment which is necessary for a place such as this. When I put this expedition together I put it together as a group effort allowing my members to fund it therefore they could become a part of it. I had an editorial interview here in FL about this expedition so this was not a sham we had a few that said yeah right well those type of people can keep on dwelling on there own ignorance what we do is real obviously we been around for how many years now folks? I did this investigation to revitalize paranormal in the WNY area. Lets face it I started the first actual urban exploring and paranormal group in the WNY area then others followed a few years later. Some of them other groups I made a pretty reasonable offer to and that was if they chipped in towards my plane ticket to lead this expedition I would in return give them some new places in WNY to check out and explore. I would help promote them so again those few groups became very hostile and did not look at the bigger picture and benefits of this trip but we did totally take advantage of this great investigation. Returning to WNY for me was exciting cause I wanted nothing more to meet my fans, members and allow them to be on this expedition. Of course I did allow anybody with skepticism to join my journey at no cost just to make a valid point. But we always try to take donations cause it allows us to upgrade equipment necessary in conducting such places. So my first thank you is going to go out to all the members who did pitch in even Kitt was on board for the investigation threw in some money to help out. Just as I threw in the other half on both trips so really it worked out and I was able to pull this great expedition off with the help of fans, supporters, and members. With all the donations we had received I unselfishly took them all and purchased equipment for our team to use in these caverns essential to surviving inside. I bought extra lighting, batteries, rope, gadgets, helmet lamps, wind up lights etc without such gear it would be foolish so I had to take into account alot of things cause lets say you went into this place 10 miles and the lights ran out finding your way back let alone getting any sort of a cell phone signal would be impossible which would make this place our final resting spot for eternity. So we new the risk we had to take besides fighting the cold, dampness, bats, rock slides etc. just with any cave you go into you will face such things that is why you must be experienced in spelunking or you could end up seriously getting hurt. Before I get into the history of this place and the rest of our journey I would like our thousands of fans across the country to really take a moment to read into what I am saying. I want others to share my sorrow and the pains I suffered to do something so great in the paranormal world. The man that is no fool is the man who did everything in his power to overcome trials and tribulations no matter what anybody thought. Anybody who said something negative towards me, demeaned our group, without actually giving something a chance are obviously people who are cowards hiding behind there PC's and this place we went is not a place for the weak believe me. Nobody can ever take away this investigation from me they can laugh, call us frauds, slander us etc but really the truth is I spent hours inside this place I got photos and I traveled all the way up north leaving my sons to make this happen so really in the end my sacrifices just go to show you how great of a leader I am. **If you wish to go straight to the historical reference of the caverns skip the sea green writing. The writing below is mainly to address those who tried to cause hardships, threatened us, lie etc which really made this investigations quite difficult.** Sadly some of my fans do not realize this but we left the Buffalo NY area because people were stealing from us. We would work hard to investigate an area then some author like Mason Winfield would turn around write about the place making money off our organization when we were the ones who went into the place risking our lives. But what is even worst is that if we never started a paranormal organization in WNY these authors making money off of us, these hidden sites that are becoming vandalized, abused, and all these groups would never cease to coexist. I mean now you got all these people who were not here from when we first started off up in NY so they are not aware of how these urban exploration locations became known it was us we found them all put them on our site then other groups either visited them or went down to records which does not take a genius to do but sadly the people in NY have forgotten what we brought to NY and all the great things we did. Even with the loss of our friend which we will always miss our work continues on in his name and so many people slander us but they sadly they were not there to see the sacrifices we have made. I have no regrets our journeys, friendships formed, paranormal finds, and adventure is something that is part of our hearts. However the only regret I have is that without us these other groups locally in WNY would NOT exist but when you post enough historical information and photos over the years people steal that information giving it out freely and such places are no longer good haunts for example the Brown Home. It was owned by a friend of mine months later after our excursions someone took a sledge hammer destroyed the entire house. Of course these other groups will defend themselves saying I had nothing to do with it but unfortunately when these other groups giving out the location to dozens of people especially the younger group those people spread the word and soon a place no longer is sacred or unique. One of those group owners was mad that I left NY saying how he was always to busy but then he started his own site nagging me everyday to give him locations sorry but what makes us unique is we actually work hard at what we do. We definitely do not charge membership fees like infiltration lol so that has to say something right there if you join us your a full member for free such as being allowed to view this expedition!! But I want my fans to know what I had to endure to make this investigation possible. First off let me start off by saying in the last 2 years hundreds of people wrote us begging us to revisit WNY. Some told me if I ever returned or visited they would help me on any investigation. Well sadly this was not the case after writing hundreds of people most of them refused to acknowledge my email on the plea for aid on this adventure worst then that many of them told me they were going to donate $20 to fund the expedition and only two Investigators kept his word in doing so and that was Kitt, Joe & Rich. The rest of the people acted in a very cowardly manor and were never heard from again. In turn some of them were members and were removed from our forums and some were people who constantly wrote me everyday begging for paranormal places or for me to analyze there photos but when it came down to me seeking there help they stuck a knife in my back. You can read the threatening emails, forum post, responses from other groups I belong too and even personal friends. Cause that amount is nothing compared to the risk we took. There is alot of factors like weak ceilings, rats, deep icy cold water, rigid rocks, darkness, getting lost, hypothermia, bats with sharp teeth, then of course the paranormal. We had many members pitch in from out of state but I learned that people in WNY are very stingy and that is why they will never come close or in comparison of the work that we do here cause honestly before you can receive you have to give that is with anything you do in life. If you are a carpenter you have to buy the tools to make money just as if you own a paranormal organization you have to put your heart into an investigation like this to make it be successful and you will see nothing but heart here! Kitt understood that the donation was not being paid to me but rather it served as a way for me to put towards equipment necessary for his survival and for my airline ticket to get out there to lead such an expedition properly. Being that I have done catacombs, tunnels, caves etc me leading such an expedition would up our chances of survival 100 times more then if some group of kids from WNYUE went in there. WNYUE.org did a cave and you can clearly see in the photos that were taken that none of them boys had proper equipment there flashlights were so dim and it was pretty clear they did not get very far. Besides the fact that the photos were dark and blurry. We are just the opposite when we go into any place we go all out that is what separates the boys from the men lol. I mean when they start to slander our group the photos of who looks more prepared is very obvious here therefore what we have out there is alot of jealous unsettled individuals who have nothing better to do but harass us. I will make this known as we get 1000 visitors a day on our site and people need to know that its groups like this that are really making a mockery out of hardworking groups like ours. I have great respect for other groups but those are ones who also respect us too .I mean I am a fan of other groups as they are a fan of me so I have no problem with other groups up north what I have a problem with is ones who try to demean us yet I can pick out their mistakes they make. All in all this is the type of investigation that can earn you a national television spot so it was a necessary investigation for us so that some of the producers I talk to can try to find us a network time slot. As of now one producer is very interested in this place and may give us a television show and anybody who came along for the investigation how cool is that? If we get a show from this Jason will be on board with us for his show of support traveling from out of state to NY to help out and Kitt will be on board for helping me organize this investigation and even Rich since it was his first time out with us. I am working on the TV show end of things will take a couple years these things are long and tedious projects. So even the smallest deeds can go a long ways and in return it has its rewards to be able to go into such an ancient place look around and say to yourself wow at one time the Indians roamed this place with torches just as another part of it miners carried lanterns!! But the thought of vanishing people inside, ancient pictographs on the walls, possibilities of finding artifacts, tunnels, and ghost stories really gets your blood pumping. It has intrigued me enough to take a chance at returning to the WNY for another adventure. Who knows maybe I will return every few months just to make a clear and present point that we have a great group with over 10,000 members, authors, television producers, radio show host, etc that has to say something in itself and I am proud to be able to continue to my work no matter the obstacles. Cause honestly it sure does not look like other groups in the Buffalo area got it going on they go to places we already been to how lame is that. That to me alone is sad when these guys were 13 years old I was already wandering these places and had them up on our site. Groups like http://www.uer.ca/forum_showthread.asp?fid=1&threadid=29029&currpage=1 and http://www.wnyue.org/ are what is known as copycat groups full of underage individuals who have literally ruined urban exploring in the WNY. When I say ruined I mean they have gone to Goodleburg in groups of 20 at night, vandalized locations which once were preserved, and desecrated sacred grounds.I know for a fact the owner has condoned his members vandalizing some of these locations such as the Aquarama Bayliner. Sadly their is a right way and a wrong way but these groups think this is some Indians and cowboys escapade sneaking in places they have no purpose or goals but to explore what already has been explored by us previously lol. They claim they care about history and that they are the most resourceful group in WNY but sadly most of them get off by slandering us due to the fact we refuse to give them locations. My issue is mainly with some of the people who are illegally causing defamation of character its not even a matter of Eur being a problem its there Buffalo chapter who harass our guestbook, members, stalk me, threaten us etc hence why rather then do nothing about it something is going to be done about it with the start of this glorious investigation. The issue became personal when some of them starting to demean my 8 year old boyfriend and stalk me on the internet so I have every right to make a strong presence on this page for 1000s of viewers to read. When we were based in WNY most of them were underage and we would not allow them to be on our team now it seems they are lashing out like a bunch of children. I just think that people need to understand what is going on here since we have a high volume of fans in the Buffalo area. Some of those members on those sites have gone so low to make fun of my sons. I know Adam owner of WNYUE supposedly with a group of his friends tried to hide out at some caves hoping they would assault us.... a member on there board passed on the information actually a few told me. Explorers work together not against eachother but fortunately I was smart enough to know this and I left NY cause I seen how selfish people acted years ago. What we offer to our fans is privilege we keep our site free, investigations free, hell some parties we give away prizes and serve steak lol so you tell me that does not sound to me like we are a bad group? We were a good group of people but that creates jealous from the outside world I really think it comes down to hate no excuse for it. The acts of hatred should not be allowed on the internet I am not making this page to bash them however point being is there are alot of very jealous people because unlike them we do not give out every single location. I am not the ONLY person who has stated this there is another exploration group in Buffalo we are allies with and they told me they had problems with the very same two groups. I have had members from both of those groups write me privately telling me that they even think its ridiculous how their community could not ally with us to explore together for one simple weekend. PGS has no problem working with other people and groups but the key is respect if you sit there and put down my son, the website, the equipment we use etc etc then expect us to share that with the public and its not my reputation that will be ruined. I am a very blunt founder I tell it how it is if it offends other groups or people then to each their own but this investigation deserves honors and I our fans, friends, my investigators and myself are proud of it! Unfortunately the groups owner from WNYUE kept begging us for 3 years for places for him and his posse to check out he use to belong as a member of our group boasting how he would go out adventuring with us well sadly he allowed his members to demean this expedition and so it turns out that is all he was after was locations. That is what makes our group so much more special we are not after anybody else's work nor do we steal. We base everything we do on making new friends that way everybody can help eachother out to reach a common goal. Its about accomplishment we do not get anything other then our fans to learn something new from each place we visit. I think the public needs to know that were not going to just hand out private locations we respect every place we go. I also think people need to know that I am not hurt, mad, full of hatred or even whining here. However I am letting my fans get an inside look of the tribulations I have faced trying to organization this trip it was not easy that is the entire truth of it all which makes me all the more greater of a leader for enduring it and still pulling it off. Mason Winfield who is NOT a paranormal investigator just an author who gives ghost tours has a partner he works and this person wrote us saying there is no such place that exist as much as they became very hostile harassing me about this expedition. The reason for is that they wanted me to reveal it so they could put it in another one of their books which means once again trying to earn money off of our hard work when I said no they became belligerent. So like most locations we will not disclose them a true explorer is someone who shares there finds with the world but conceals its secrets. Sadly because of WNYUE and UER the links are above many places which were great for urban exploring are all being demolished or closed down because these groups are religiously advertising locations publicly and too many of them are going to these places to a point where some of there members have been arrested by the police. When so many arrest are made the town will have a county meeting to decide whether the place should be demolished or sealed up. We have never been arrested period other groups have though!! I know that a few of them guys on board went to a few places I been and got injured this tends to draw in attention and then the town boards them up, shuts them down, or they become inaccessible. We never had this problem but these other groups have gotten alot of negative attention. So its no wonder why most of the hate mail we receive comes from them their is your final answer. Lastly these groups took it as far to demean my eight year old child a harmless little boy, send in appropriate material to our guest book which was traced and I still may press charges since I made a recording of an IP number that comes from WNYUE, demean the equipment we use, mock out our beliefs, slander our organization by accusing us of fraud, stating that we are only after money and the list goes on. They went as far to even say I am in a cult however theologically I am far from religious science and metaphysics are my path. How can these people call themselves adventurers when they acted so cowardly or ignorant? Half of them kids do not even work so of course they will not chip in for gas money let alone 20 dollars towards equipment. So I guess in reality what I am telling my fans of the WNY region be grateful of who we are and what we are about to present to you. Despite the icy rain, steep cliffs we climbed up on, raging rapids, muddy trails, cold weather, and dangers involved despite the lack of investigators what you are about to see is one of the most intense investigations in the organizations history I pulled it off and I also took alot of HEAT before and after! Those that were not part of it truly missed out on gaining a notch of experience in there belts but they also missed out on a journey that was like being in a Lord Of The Rings movie. We faced all obstacles and that in itself is an accomplishment I am very proud of my team they held up very well. But here we have two other groups up in WNY and they commit acts of hatred towards us yet they also have been members of our group that in itself is just idiotic. Either you support us or you do not. But it comes down to this if you were in the WNY area and you were one of those people that said we are liars or you sat home in a warm house while we were journeying in the dark you were the one who was on the ship of fools. Because the ones that again have the tenacity to put down our hard work are often the ones who are cowards if they were not then why would they not come on out see what we are about so we came to the conclusion that the only thing they are capable of doing is stealing from other groups such as our own. Besides the fact that most of them hide on our public forums this has become rather a personal problem that needs to be addressed. Although this investigation was not created to demean other groups in the WNY area what I have provided is the factual truth. One of their mods had gone the length of stating they knew the place we were going and it is not worth anybodie's time. Unfortunately I never disclosed to anybody publicly where this place was again there is over 50 caverns and catacombs in WNY state and northern PA. Many of them are hidden in the woods, some are behind boulders, some are off trails, while others you have to repel to get into. Its a big world with alot to explore and that is where PGS comes into play! Also if you click the buttons above you can read our not so nice hate mail, threats, people from other forums responses etc. I really think the paranormal community needs to be aware of what is going on with such people guarantee you will have alot more respect for our group and me after reading what I had to go through here! It all comes down to respect if I help you then you will help me together anything is possible! Hopefully I will get to share my story on a talk show in the near future I am working on a news article about this now so that it gets national attention! The truth will be told! In the article or show the amount of hate received from these groups will be shared with the public. So I bring to you the Southern NY Catacombs and no matter how many did not donate for this 3 part investigation expedition, no matter how many slandered our organization on other groups in WNY, no matter how many members who were banned for there dishonesty towards this special trip. We truly made quite an accomplishment as I came all the way from FL to NY to make this expedition possible being away from my sons, my friends, having nowhere to go, no money hardly and still pulling off this tedious brave journey. Now I leave the question to remaining where were you? Its secret will die with me! Which brings me to the history of the catacombs and caverns. First and foremost they were used before the year of 1600 perhaps as a place to seek shelter from the harsh winters. It is obvious the native American people lived down here based on the pictographs on the walls inside. It is obvious that during the summer months remains, meat etc could be stored in here for preservation since these caverns remain at least twenty degrees cooler in the summer and around 55 degrees during the winter. Three different types of Indian tribes used these caverns throughout history which were the Hurons, Wenros, and The Eries. Back around the 1600s many of those tribes were being slaughtered by the Iroquois Indians or should we say that they were consuming most of WNY tribes. The Iroquois Indians made a strong presence all over the Western half of the NY area no other tribe could overcome them. So for many years they used these caves to travel, store food, and seek shelter from the harsh winters. Nobody really has a layout to this place that is just how large it is some I interviewed have told me it goes for about 20 miles underground others say well over 100 miles. I do know that some of them connect to small towns but not many I mean your dealing with alot of open land near the Allegheny national forest. I can imagine 500 years ago they caverns were more solid but over the years with highways being built, houses, construction, small tremors etc many tunnels are now impassable signs of this are true since we did come up to one of these collapsed areas. You could just see thousands of pounds of rocks leaning at an angle ready to come down. So some areas are inaccessible and because of it we have no clue to how far underground it goes. While another area we explored took about 8 hours and that area does not go on for miles alot of places are what they are exaggerations and urban legends. That is where we come into play to investigate such locations to examine all possibilities. From my study of the caverns most of it appears to have a natural sense to it but then the other part of them seems not so natural like the multiple tunnels that branch out from various chambers. It almost looks as if parts of it are man made which has some truth to it based on our studies. Historical research shows me that the area was very well mined. NY state has well over 50 mines particularly the WNY and Southern NY areas. Some of them mines are said to go for miles so more then likely even though this was a network of caverns research shows that they were also mined, enlarged, and stripped of the minerals within. The most common mining done throughout NY state was gypsum which is the material often used in cement. Without Gypsum you would not seen roads, buildings, and other structures you see today. But the catacomb system is not all manmade there are parts within that are natural and that is where you can find ancient Indian paintings on the walls from when the Iroquois roamed these tunnels once you get in very deep. Some Gypsum mines still remain such as the one in Alden, Clarence, and even Mount Morris. But they are rumored to be filled with water and blocked off. The cave of course was in much better shape then it is now but back in the earlier 1800s when early settlers came on the old wagon trail which ran through most of NY state. It was harsh as settlers battled the cold weather the food was scarce and most of WNY was Indian territory. Back in the 1800s the cavern was used by some of these settlers for shelter and to store food so the Indians were not the only ones who used this location for survival. Pioneers found use for it also so lots of different folk stepped into this place at one time or another. The area the cave is located is very hidden of course if you were to hike you would not even know it exist. There is quite a few caves like that such as Chief Cornplanters Cave, Hermit's Den, Bear Caverns, etc all used by the native Americans at one time or another. What alot of people do not realize is that what you see around you is what you know but below ground is a world in itself where the fish are blind, there are bats, and other life that you never knew existed before. Like most mines and caverns in NY they all basically are similar made meaning gypsum, slate, limestone etc just like the mines that are located in Clarence are similar to the ones to the ones up in Alden. I use to have a private listing of all mine and cavern locations in southern and WNY it is really amazing how much exist underground and alot of these places have history to them. Along with the fact that these caves go for miles they are haunted..... people have died in them and there is in some areas a very strong presence. I mean there is hundreds of years of history here, deaths, cave ins, people getting lost and I will take it as far as people vanishing. Of course that depends on where you travel in them cause tunnels, caves, and catacombs are present in the area. The only time anybody would have an opportunity to have a safe journey to this place probably would be with a group like us who is trained for dealing with mazes, rock climbing, and spelunking. We are trained in this and believe me by the end of something like this you will be covered in guano, mud and probably suffer alot of abrasions from the sharp rocks. Among the stories about this place once a lady disappeared near it not sure if she went into it but back in the 1800s she was wandering aimlessly near it and vanished without a trace. Then we have another story about someone who went in and it collapsed inside trapping the person. There is another story about someone squeezing threw a hole and he spent two days inside wandering around. He found Indian pictographs signs that this place was used by the Indians. This investigation was split into three parts the first one was the cave the second investigation was photos of the area at night and the third one was the mine along with some caverns. So it was a very large scaled investigation. Then we have the story on how slaves from the civil war would hide inside and use it to escape since it had many entrances and secret passages. It just depends I suppose on what entrance you visit. One entrance is native American while another is manmade. The native American passages are very hard to get into unfortunately due to this we could not get to the pictographs but that is okay I know they are there a good friend of mine spent time looking at many of them over 20 years ago. Their is no doubt in my mind that in this place there are hidden bones hence why I used the name catacombs cause if one could get deeper in a few miles back I am sure there will be Indian burial locations and maybe even bones of those that vanished. One thing is for sure one area was collapsed so lets say there was somebody on the other side well unfortunately this place was there final grave. So with that in mind I hope this investigation will really reach out to those who understand the pain, sadness, blood, sweat, tears, friendship, and adventure that went into this. This was a very advanced investigation carrying even 40lbs on me and having to crawl in tunnels really was a test. We had alot of fun but we also had alot of paranormal experiences from our journeys which in the end glorified our efforts! I suffered a long-term knee injury its healing with alot of hiking and Kitt has problems in his hand from being pricked by a plant that has acid in it which can cause permanent nerve damage. So we sacrificed alot for these investigations people have laughed at us and I see nothing funny what I see is a group of people that came together to reach a common goal that to me meant more then anything.
