Our adventure into the great basin would take us onto an old byway where we remained for nearly a half hour behind a cattle herd. This is the wild west and we were so close to giants cave that I could nearly taste one hell of an adventure into one of the most mysterious lands in the state of Nevada. Check us out at www.paranormalghostsociety.org to see works from this project in our investigation archives.	All that remains of this ancient sink is Humboldt lake off in the distance. At one time water filled this based when in the last ice age glaciers began to retreat. The Paiutes and Red Giants who once lived off these lands clashed. Not much has changed here accept the amount of water that once was. Our team is heading off to the cave where legends are larger then life.

We have reached the lions den and now were nearly about to enter one of the most ancient sites in the United States. Although the cave is not enormous it was uniquely created from ancient Lake Lahontan's waves battering its rocks when the limestone dome had collapsed.	We have entered the cave and found it to be rather peaceful. Although its apparent some energy does resonate from within our own inner earth this place is as sacred as it is unique. I climb down into the cave to have a first few looks as I crawl around taking our viewers on a historical journey where legend is truth.

Although the cave has been excavated for thousands of artifacts including the worlds oldest duck decoy we do feel the energies even today still remain. Our team is taking EVPs and EMF readings in hopes that we might find some evidence that these so called red haired giants continue to live on even in spirit. They cannibalized the local Paiutes however they would fight back hunting down the giants burning sage brush at the caves entrance drawing out the last of their breaths.	The cave is rather dismal, cool, damp and most of all extremely dusty. The caves floor is mixed with sand and pebbles. Meanwhile the ceiling with the cave is black this is due to the fact that at one time the ancients burned fires within the cavern itself. The cave resembles a Horseshoe its about 150' in length and about 50' in width. This is what it looks like in night-vision when your exploring it.

This is an interview that shows you stellar views of the Great Basin and entrance into the Lovelock Cavern. I wanted to provide our viewers with a little bit of history and lore related to the area. Unlike most fables and tales you hear about this location holds truth behind them. We encourage you to enjoy this special segment brought to you by the founder of The Paranormal & Ghost Society.	The great basin is home to many ancient sites but also a vast high desert. Some of those rocks glisten red in the sun while other ones contain ancient petroglyphs that have existed for centuries. I have decided to explore the area a bit more in depth by working our way up into some of the mountains which surround the Lovelock Cave. Who knows what we may find or see nonetheless its a beautiful area to explore.

My ascension would began along side this hill which would take me up onto a plateau where I could decide my next move. I would head on off into the sun of the high desert as carefully my team behind me appeared to look like ants on a city sidewalk as I pushed on. Little did I know what i would be getting myself into. I would find out soon enough all to soon perhaps!	Thorns and Goat Heads would be the least of my problems. The steep mountain side was full of loose gravel and some steep drop-offs. I sat along the steep hillside leading into it with very little footing as I emptied out my shoes carefully holding onto the idea that I would not fall into a death roll. I was closer to reaching my goal which would top even touring Giants Cave. I would make it to the top even if it killed me as I watched Tammy and Jarrod looking back up at me.

Allot of the old balsamic and limestone rock appears to be crumbling the moment I even touch it. I had one obstacle left prior to making my way atop a plateau and that would be this one rock wall. How would I climb such rocks which crumbled in my hands? What if I lost grip? How far would I fall? All these questions were racing through my head as I held the camera in one hand while climbing with the other. Over the wall would be another steep incline through thorn brush and a bright sun shining into my eyes.	This small little plateau overlooks nearly the entire Humboldt Sink. Climbing on up here wasn't easy but it was worth the risk. Tammy and my son are below waving to me. I had no idea that I would stand above the great basin and it was a glorifying moment. The views were great but so was the feeling of knowing that at one time thousands of years ago this was beachfront property.

After standing on the plateau for quite sometime I had made a decision that I needed to see more. I would began a second ascension of a higher mountain peak. During the climb I came on over a ridge only discover vastness in all directions. I had come to realize that if giants were once roaming these mountains then what other secrets do these mountains hold?	This is what being on top of the world feels like. I had climbed, crawled and hiked to this crown overlooking the entire Great Basin. I had mountains surrounding me on every side. From up here is an entirely different world one very few ever get to experience. As I stand atop this peak further below I can see other landmarks including the small hill where giants cave is located. Its hard to imagine that at one time this basin you see was part of an ancient sea which has been lost to history and time.

As I stood on top of the crown I tried to imagine thousands of years ago what it is the local giants and Paiutes seen. Although much of the water is gone this view probably has not changed in thousands of years. As I stood atop of the red rocks I took EMF readings and was very careful not to fall over the edge. At the time the only country that matters is my own the one that stood before me. I was merely small compared to this vast land which surrounded me.	Heading back down into the Great Basin would prove rather difficult. The wrong way meant falling the right way meant salvation. Some of the hillsides were so steep I had to slide down them while other ones ended at cliffs. There was no right or wrong way to come down I just had to do it with care. This would be the last video I would take on this expedition hoping I would survive to one day explore this area once again.
