Desert Hill Cemetery was established in the earlier 1900s for the Nye county and Beatty Nevada. Its not a ghost town cemetery or even that historical but I was very curious to want to know what a desert cemetery looked like so I did the investigation here.

The cemetery sits near a small hill/mountain overlooking the town below. The area is known for its Haunting's and strange activity. I do believe some other paranormal groups have visited this cemetery.

Its in fairly poor condition if you ever wondered about cemetery burials they differ from the east coast. The deceased are buried above the ground almost with a small mound of dirt and stones piled on top of the casket. Many of the crosses here are made of wood and many of the stones are just weathered caused by the stand.

In the desert you will not see statues of angels or saints, or crypts, or fancy marble that is because the harsh desert climate and sand causes terrible erosion. The cemetery is eerie in my opinion maybe more spooky then it is haunted seeing a large steep hills sits next to it but this is one of the more visited cemeteries compared to many of the ghost towns who have cemeteries that are no longer in use.

This was the first cemetery we have ever visited in Nevada and anybody who tells you that cemeteries are all alike is lying to you find out why by looking at our photos.
