As we were offroading with a sharp eye we noticed a few water tanks on a hill in the darkness. Most mines have one but their was roughly 5 or 6 all bunched together torn up and rusted. We were standing at the base of a giant series of hills and in front of it was a good 25 acres of desert brush in front of us and a mining road that would take us right up to the mine site itself. Tammy and I spent allot of our time apart she found some crack pipe on the ground while I was searching for machinery to photograph for the website. I have to say out of all the mines I ever been to this site had more debris scattered then anywhere. Their was allot of blue rocks we found perhaps turquoise maybe discolored copper hard to say I am not a mineralogist. We found an area with piles of drums, concrete slabs, foundations, bean cans, twisted TNT boxes, clothing, wood, railroad ties and even a very old bulldozer. Along the way we also found wild gourds growing something I never knew could grow in the desert considering the lack of water yet vines scattered the desert floor. This place was strange their were dozens of paths leading to all sorts of locations and so getting lost wasn't very hard or at least turned around. As we hiked up the road their was a twisted gate along with a metal cable which had a danger sign. Their was piles of crushed rock all over the place so I knew we were getting really close to the mine entrance. In the darkness at the very top of the hill was a giant water tank. Their was also a warehouse halfway up the hill which we roamed around at. I actually thought the warehouse was the most eerie location we encountered on the hike I felt watched here. Tammy and I found built into the hill a series of concrete foundations this was the mill ruins also a wooden wall of something. This was a nice find not only for our viewers but to explore around at as we found old broken bottles and things left behind from the miners. Strangely I found some wild gourds growing in the desert never seen anything like this in my life hell never even knew that they could grow just in time for Halloween eh? Their was also a bunch of rolling hills with debris scattered all over the place all rusted pieces of sheet metal. We had to be careful as some of you know this is a rattle snakes haven. Speaking of rattle snakes I had past a bush and hurt a rattle go off this was my warning to keep on trucking. A bite in seclusion with possibly no signal could mean death at anytime so anybody who views our adventures in the desert should know that the work we do is very dangerous at times and so we have to play it cautious. We visited the warehouse squeezing between these old spotlights and carts of some kind. Their was allot of old machinery it had a spooky feeling. Behind the warehouse I found the first mine shaft it was just a hole to darkness. I threw a rock never heard it hit the bottom it just kept going. Sadly the state is blasting entrances shut but again not taking the time to cover up the deadly shafts. Their was signs a homeless person may have been living back near here as we found deodorant, clothing and other belongings. For all we know they may have been at the bottom of the shaft. Anyhow I heard off in the distance a dog barking at times it seemed to get closer. I also kept hearing a clanking sound as if it were a set of dog tags clanking but after hearing it for awhile I just assumed it was something blowing around at the warehouse. We did find the main shaft the barbed wire was all bent and I climbed over it getting close so I could get a photo. This shaft was very different from any I ever seen. Basically it sloped down into this crevice about 10 feet across with wood beams keeping it from collapsing. The slope in front of me was loose gravel just a few inches further meant me possibly sliding down and falling into a hole perhaps leading to a deadly fall so I had to be super cautious. I guess the beams held the entrance open as it narrowed to a smaller hole leading down. Their were cables near by which means that this mine is very deep and probably lowered its men down to its dark depths or perhaps even some kind of machinery. What I learned from my exploration as we headed back to the car is that each shaft did something different as Tammy found a couple structures with this giant wood frame over another shaft. This was our third shaft we found of the night only this one had this giant iron bucket which reminded me of something you would see in a steel or iron works factory. They had old wood boards over the shaft not to sturdy but it was something to keep others out. I even put on a foreman's hat for protection and well we couldn't hang on the mound to look someone had their trailer next door and I am sure were watching us out their window thinking WTF lol. We finished off this location looking at some old mining equipment which appeared to at one time had cables that attached to it which we found near the main shaft. We also found a roof with old wood shingles laying on the ground and another water tower. Sadly it took us awhile to get back to the car the desert for some reason surrounding this place is full of little mounds and hills with allot of brush so its very easy to get turned around. If it were not for Tammy to spot the water towers in the darkness id been wandering around for hours on end haha. My final take on this place is that its eerie haunted who knows I took EVPs felt a little watched up on the side of the hill where the main entrance is. I unfortunately am very poor so when my equipment breaks we have to rely on scents, hearing, feelings and our eye sight. If any members can donate some equipment because we go through allot id be really grateful. After the Nobel mine we decided it was time for one of the biggest adventures of the night called the Quartette Mine.  This is a rather strange anomaly it may be nothing or it might be a face of some sorts off in the distance. Many anomalies turn out to be nothing years ago I use to focus on taking really good apparition shots but what is more intriguing is when you get an EVP and the voice is not your own. These mines we investigate like these are places where many people died and were buried right near debris piles....water tanks.....even near the entrance to the shafts. Could this be a ghost you decide!
