Clarence Fillmore Cemetery was Established in the 1800s and contains one revolutionary soldier. The cemetery sits on about 5 acres and next to a nursing home. The area is full of evergreen trees and the oldest stones seem to be near the front and entrance area. I do not have alot of history about this cemetery however if you are familiar with the Buffalo area Fillmore was killed here in Buffalo and many things were named after him the cemetery most likely a hospital Ect... The cemetery has an odd feel about it in the air you can feel the presence of something. Most cemeteries you visit you sometimes feel not a thing and other ones you feel watched no matter where you go. Their is a variety of stones in this cemetery you have a column broken made of marble, one crypt, a few stones so worn you cannot even read the inscriptions. We decided to investigate this cemetery because usually often people will parish in a nursing home then will be buried in the cemetery nearby. Often their spirits may not rest because perhaps they were not happy in the nursing home or maybe they are waiting for someone to visit them before they move on. You can almost feel as if there is a sense of loneliness or perhaps sadness here. At least that is what I felt like our company was welcomed I almost hated to leave here.
