Roger's
Christmas House
Beast and I drove all over looking for Springhill Cemetery took us
probably almost two hours. It was funny because I had two sets of
directions to it and both were wrong lol. Its not that its hard to find
its that its easy to miss especially at night. We had to just play trial
and error going down dirt roads...parking on dead ends shining our
spotlights...etc
After driving down this long eerie woodsy road we met up with Mike and his
GF. Mike is a good friend of Beasts so I thought it was cool that we were
adding more people to our adventure.
We met up at the gas station and I was getting some hot dogs and a
KrispyKreme Doughnut. Beast had got a couple hot dogs to we ate them in
the parking lot took a break its something I tend to do on a lot of my
trips will stop get coffee...food etc no rush ya know!
After this we again went looking for the cemetery no luck it was funny we
pulled down this overgrown road and it dead ended at this guys house.
Trust me it was not fun trying to turn around knowing uncle buck might
come out with his shotgun haha. It was all good fun as they followed me
down different roads. Eventually we took a break jumped onto the Roger's
Christmas House investigation.
When we arrived here the pub nearby was kicking strong women were outside
partying...people were out walking..drinking etc the village we were
visiting has also ghost stories but its a must see as well. Its a all year
around xmas village each home is historical.
We were disappointed that it was no longer vacant but we still walked the
premises as Beast said its the type of place you could bring a friend and
just find serenity at. The village is very private high fences all around
and you cannot see a thing till you enter it.
It was very quiet in the village accept for the bar and hearing beer
bottles being thrown out. The interesting thing about this place is that
it has 5 large historical homes all of them either connect with halls or
porches and in the center of this place is the gardens.
I am not sure there was any activity here I mean we looked in one of the
basements under one of the houses...the grounds had an eerie feeling
especially when we looked in different windows and seen wax figures and
things. The grounds were beautifully done with a little water
mill...tables...historical antiques and decor.
I felt a lot of people and quiet here although the one house seemed older
then the rest. Perhaps it was more dreary then haunted seeing dim lights
on...xmas figures...a computer running...etc Mike had to go with his gf so
they could not stay for this investigation wish he got to see this place I
thought it was a pretty good find.
I took EVP here and a lot of photos....as we traversed down various board
walks...and exploring the various structures on site. I could not resist
the beard went on what can I say its the holidays lol.
Anyway's another historical site another investigation in the books. I did
hear something near one of the buildings on site who knows what it was
sounded like movement maybe hard to say though. We then moved on to the
best investigation of the evening which was Chinsegut Hill & Manor.
