Cedar Key

I will tell you going onto the island was a treat the fog over the water....seeing all these homes on stilts and historical buildings. The island was small and we would cover every inch of it stopping at various locations.

I almost went into a house I found but I figured ehhhhh it would throw off our schedule so we passed it up no big deal. It was like a ghost town all homes dark... a few xmas lights...a boat on the water and the rest was just that dead. We could not even location a cup of coffee or a B&B that was open to spend the night at.

We stopped at this museum which has cannons...an old fishing boat...the whitman trail and house. It has some other artifacts to and we figured it would be a great spot to start off with. We then would drive down some roads just to take a look at some houses.

We did find an old railroad trestle which sat on someone's front lawn it was like umm okay Christy was like onward bound because there was no way I was getting out to take photos of it lol. It was an odd place the town was sleeping it was eerie. Have any of you ever been to a fishing island I mean that is what this is really people get away for the romance of it all but generally these people make their lives by the sea.

We entered downtown drove down it so we could do our historical walk. We seen an art shop, museum, old hotels, eerie alleyways, antique shops etc again the photos will show you more of what downtown looks like. We noticed a lot of cats on the streets and I bent down only to pet the largest outside cat I ever seen. He was a beast and he let me scratch his head. I have grown very close to animals in the last couple years I love them. There was also some guy who was drunk on the sidewalk...lumbering around its like hmmm okay.

So we took some photos there was this one place that had tiles mosaics...and sculptures etc there was one cop he seen me take some photos did not stop me. These cops down here are alright if it was anywhere else id had to go for an entire interrogation but down here they do ghost tours and such so they know what the deal is. We also seen this house surrounded by a wall and wrought iron gate pretty cool.

We were going to walk back to the car when we seen a little side road which cut up along the water with fishing boats, docks, barges and many old taverns. This was a very old part of the island its where the boats catch the fish then export it or serve it at the restaurants.

There was a park to our left on the water near a condo where the boats are parked right out your front door. The park had a plaque cause it was the site of the old train depot for Cedar Key turned into a giant playground.

I look to my left and seen movement on the beach. Of course if you know me as a person you know I look through things not at them. So Christy is all laughing and walking away quickly. I am thinking I am seeing a ghost or what looked like a lion. I start running to it to grab a photo and some guy has some girl bent over going to town on his knees shoes in the water. They did not even look at me he just sped up and it was just so hilarious cause I look and yell to Christy is that what I think I see cause hell man its 2am I only care about one thing that is ghost and here is two drunk people going at it in the middle of town. I didn't know it looked like freaking rabbits or lions going at it eyes playing tricks on me man long night foggy glasses ha.

As we got further away I looked back and the girl was all paranoid looking around guess they heard me yelling Ho Ho Ho good thing I didn't put on the Santa beard and hat can you imagine how scared they would have been. Man it was a riot now I think I have seen all there is to see on a paranormal investigation and here the old say in Cedar Key is "Everything slows down in Cedar Key" not this guy and girl lol

So yeah we moved on and seen this awesome wood restaurant and some of these places rent rooms above there restaurants etc. Its all wood board walks....fancy dolphin lamps...pubs....and a fishing port setting. Boats are right in back of the old wood buildings etc

We walked down some board walks you could see old pylons left over I mean this is a town that's been rebuilt from storms and faced hardships. Alot of this area was dead accept the pub had a few people drinking and talking loud. I really wanted to go in for a beer its all good right? That's the point of traveling out enjoy yourself a little bit its healthy for the soul.

We walked to the pier and found out the pier was removed we were sad we wanted to go on out but I guess they are redoing the port a lot of barges...cranes etc one of the sea food lounges was collapsing and it was a pretty beat up part of the port.

We also ran into a lot of cats groups and groups of them...the smell of fish was really bad in certain areas to. So in light of things I threw on the Santa Beard and hat Christy took my photo and some guy was drinking a brew goes holy Shi$ I see Santa Claus another guy is like what? And pretty soon the entire bar was saying Santa Claus so I start running on foot as the entire bar was really starting to shout and get a little to excited lol.

Christy is hurrying up following me we went back to the historic park and of course the exhibitionist couple was gone but man she did have a nice ass why lie. Lets be honest here are you going to close your eyes guys if you see a nice ass think about it lol. But they were gone and we investigated the park.

I cared about one thing that was playing in the giant jungle gym that had and yep you guessed it boys and girls Santa swung on ropes...and I climbed on this thing and it ended up spreading apart and I did a full split almost about 8 feet off the ground not cool but the pants did not rip looks like I might be ready to play hockey goaltender again heh.

So after the fun we took a walk in search of this old structure on the water we could not find it but we sat on a beach bench for awhile in front of some condos on stilts then looked at this old brick seafood building and took off.

Christy and I found two other sites with plaques relevant to the area and some private piers which we did not go on. We actually drove down some unknown road and ended up driving right onto a small airport hahaha. Christy pulls right up to an airplane and I take a photo lol. It was so freaking funny cause the sign was like no parking watch out for low planes we pulled around almost right onto the runway you can drive on the runway to.

We ended up taking the road along another side of the island and back it came out to the main route and we left. It was a lot of fun we seen the entire island some shops have a haunting feel some places are just that historical full of energy. We covered the entire island most of it on foot did a lot of walking nobody was out it was dismal fog all over...xmas lights all over and hell I even prayed at one of the mangers...I prayed I would have a good ending to my night hahahaha.

We seen a drunk fisherman staggering down some side road it seems that's all the people around here do is drink...have sex...and fish ha.

Christy and I had a long drive back I had the cooler with me we could not find coffee and I dozed off I know I would not have made it back not with my bad tunnel vision problem lately so thank goodness for her. We were driving down a country road near Rosewood when we seen an unknown beast cross the road.

Now I am NOT saying it was supernatural but I feel it was a shapeshifter or skinwalker. We did not see it cross the road it just did and it was large like a wolf pointed ears. It made it across the road in two leaps. Christy seen it all I only caught a piece of it out of my left eye. It was not a coyote or a dog it was a wolf and well I am sure there are wild dogs and wolves...maybe even some coyotes in those woods but if there are it might be a fluke or rare. Because even going to state parks and all the research I do the Florida native animals are gators, black bear, possum, fox, raccoon, bobcat and panthers. So yeah pretty eerie cause we were in those woods earlier during the night and this thing had tannish fur and very large pointed ears it was what it was a canine like beast.

We stopped at the gas station Christy got coffee after 60 miles later and we had to pay a lot in tolls. But she gave me a chocolate milk and we had a good ride to Christy's place. By then the fog lifted the moon was out in full and we felt pretty good to have gotten Cedar Key Investigated.

She has three really awesome dogs they were all licking me and the one slept with me all night. I was so scared at first to see her dogs cause two of them are pit bull breeds and they were just so sweet to me. I feel bad cause I cant have dogs where I live and always wanted one so it was pretty cool.

It was a nice night we woke up I helped Christy fix her computer.....then took Christy out for breakfast at Denny's I had a meat lovers platters with pancakes yummmmmmm lol. After that we came back here to my place watched Harry Potter.  It was a nice day you have to be thankful I mean over 6 hours of driving....hiking....dealing with weirdos...beast in the woods...etc this investigation was a special one.

I wish more came out I mean it was meant for everybody to come on out to celebrate our last adventure up in FL nobody did really show interest but its okay. I am really excited to bring to our fans Ill add it to our site in a week or two have hours of EVP to sort through etc.

Also keep in mind those that helped me with the investigation are invited to a private New Years Party coming up. Also shout outs to Mike Dijital of dijitalphotography.com  for the donation of an awesome flashlight it worked well on the trip very bright a nice soft light and it worked great for the locations we visited.

I just wanted to make sure those involved who helped me and supported me get my thanks. With that in mind I guess I should announce in a few days I am leaving for Savannah GA to complete a historical ghost walk its my xmas gift to me but you will enjoy my finds and places I visit.

We are pretty much wrapping everything up in FL I will be out of here in 3 weeks to 3 months there will be no more group investigations or anything as we prepare to start our journeys up in California. I wish everybody a safe and Happy Holiday remember not to drink and drive.
