Candyland Park is a place where a kids dream can come true. It reminds me of a place that my father took me to as a child and tried to teach me the concept of baseball. What makes this place unique is that it has 5 ball parks of all different sizes, 3 lit tennis courts, 3 basketball courts, picnic area, play ground, shelter, and a soccer field.

I chose to investigate this cause of the proximity of many historical homes and the graveyard nearby. Which means the possibility of perhaps seeing something here was quite possible. The park has a real gloomy feeling at night and I did not realize this till later but their is a trail leading from this park to another in the area.

The park though was designed mainly for adults and children to get involved in softball leagues of various kinds. Candyland was founded in 1984 so it really is not that old. But the area itself is quite old and before it was a park I believe it had some other purpose. As Longwood is an old lumber town perhaps the trees that use to exist where the park is today were used to build some of them historical homes in the area.
