Bulow Trail & Plantation

I finally was able to take the trail which leads into the woods of the Bulow Plantation. As soon as we entered their was lots of activity. I heard heavy walking and I felt watched. We stood about 50 feet from the trail entrance and the path was fairly wide with alot of brush and these tall thin trees. The entire forest was lit by moonlight. As a psychic my impression was that one then more being was out their watching. The walking I was hearing was getting closer but what we heard was not animal rustling around.

Eventually we made our way down the trail and at times it became thin twisting and turning. At times we were surrounded by swamps and wetlands. We were close to shoreline so we had to be really careful cause their are alligators and lots of them out in areas such as this.

We went for about a half of mile then it was apparent we were being followed. Lee even stated possibly that it felt like two beings non-ghostly. I feel they were alien in nature. I have felt this when I was in these woods on my first investigation that these beings are perhaps unexplainable but I think more or less they are watchers. We did not feel harm from them but at times I heard something on the trail keeping up with us getting closer. Then at one moment we heard rustling and an Armadillo ran off into the woods digging through the brush. Moments later we were hiking and we heard an odd sound in the woods. Then all of sudden this giant bat swooped down and flew a few feet from my head. This had to be the biggest bat I have ever seen. I remember doing the Buffalo Asylum and seeing some giant bats but nothing that had such a large wingspan like the bat we seen here. So this area of the woods was full of oddities. 

We eventually came to a clearing and old wood bridge. Their was old wood post that use to be fencing back from the 1800s back when Indigo and Sugar Cane was planted here. You talked about eerie we were in the middle of two fields which were swampy and us in the dead center. But we took a refreshment break and then headed back on off into the woods.

The trail ended up on some dirt roads but their were other little trails. I was trying to lead us to the sugar mill but we could not find nothing but a bunch of roads. One of them led us out on a peninsula with a giant creek on each side which looked like it went on forever. 

We eventually took the road the other way and we had seen a couple of wild boars which ran when they seen us. But right away I grabbed my knife and was ready for combat because I thought they were coming straight for us. Plus the fact that I like bacon with my eggs. Eventually we came on out to a dark road which seemed to have a car now and then speeding through really fast.  Their was a trail on the other side of the woods that was gated and called Bird Trail. I think some of these trails are prohibited from visitors.

We decided to take the dark road I will admit it was way to quiet no sounds except a few frogs. Other then that I got the feeling that this is the type of road that maybe is a place of ghost sightings. The reason why I say that is at times I got  a glimpse of something. To me it looked like a ghost crossing the road. Their was also alot of fireflies out just blinking in the trees.

We came to an intersection it was quiet when all of sudden something crashed in the trees the entire tree was swaying all the way down to the roots. It was big the tree cracked, branches were hitting other branches and you could hear something putting alot of weight down on the branches. Lee our demonologist felt that it was something nonhuman perhaps Semi Corporeal. When this occurred I was standing under the tree I moved very quickly. It was as if something was watching and slipped.

We started our couple mile walk down another dark road. Their was a blinking light on a construction sign but both sides had nothing but woods. Their were some trees with alot of Spanish moss. I heard alot of rumors about many people killed on this section of road so I was fairly cautious of the occasional speeding my car so we spent sometime hiding behind various trees.

Then all of sudden that is when it happened something came ripping through the woods it was big about our height. You could hear a ripping sound as if it was cutting through the thick brush with no struggle whatsoever. I mean it sounded like it had razor sharp blades and was just winding up cutting like a chain saw. We heard at times heavy footsteps and movement in the woods. Whenever we switched sides we heard something coming in from behind us. We think it was the same creature perhaps crossing the road back and forth. Although it sounds like a fairytale Lee perceived it as a being that was able to move perhaps silently in the trees and cross on both sides of the road with us not being able to see it so perhaps maybe it flew or like Lee said was stuck between two planes. But it was making itself known and we made it to a housing community and regrouped with Aaron.

Aaron took the two investigators to a pay phone walking down that same road and we did not tell him much about our experience. But he did mention that something also followed him down the road. He said it sounded like something large dragging a log behind it. So comparing notes we did find that something unexplainable was roaming the Bulow woods. I would not doubt it with all the deaths and missing people over the years around here I do think that whatever this is may have something to do with it. 

We went to 7-11 grabbed some Big Gulps I almost hit a deer going up here but I seen him coming out of the woods he looked me in the eyes and then he passed. It was like the deer and I could speak to eachother with our souls very interesting experience really. I drove to another dirt road and parked. We decided to hike to the Bulow Sugar Mill Ruins an area we hiked on our first investigation. It was pretty quiet hiking back here the only difference was this time the moon lit our path. I did not see any strange beings or glowing lights. I did not even feel followed.

Eventually we arrived at the plantation ruins where we found some sugar cane growing. We cut a few stalks and started to suck on the sweet juices. You cannot investigate sugar mill ruins without enjoying some of the crops grown here from the 1800s. 

The sugar mill ruins were very cold I went off alone most of the time and I could feel a strong presence in an area where their was tunnels. I stood still trying to focus. Not alot of noises a few times heard some movement way off in the woods but their was something watching us. I had Aaron climb into one of the coquina chimney tunnels to get me a photo looking up that was pretty funny but he was able to fit in their.

We took some photos then headed back taking another stalk of sugar cane for the road. It was a quiet long walk back to the car but another great investigation of the Bulow Plantation woods.

We had seen some old planting fields, trails and although we did not get hardly any paranormal photos the experiences in and around these woods were incredible. We then headed on off to our final location called the Witches House.

When we were followed by what Rick said I called a semi corporeal, I was very concerned. Let me elaborate a bit on a semi corporeal being, It is half physical, half spiritual, and most of the ones you might ever meet aren't friendly. One of the types I have dealt with is your standard boogey man, he try's to freak you out and if you play his game then he can do whatever he wants with you. Understand there ARE rules to this, but not a whole not of them. Whatever was in the wood and was ripping the forest, was not that type. I do not know what type of being that was, although I did sense it and it felt like the presences I had felt from semi corporeal creatures in the past. This being could have killed us most likely, people go missing alot out where we were too, so use caution when you are in this or any other area. And remember respect without fear is the right response to anything paranormal.
 
In these days I feel that spiritual encounters for us all are on the upswing, for the good and for the bad. My advice to everyone is always remember proper respect, I can handle alot of beings that most people aren't sure exist or not, but even I don't know if I could have handled what was in those woods.
