I believe that this is one of the 5 pavilion buildings built around 1900. Because of the economy brick had to be used instead of the normal materials from across seas such as the original asylum on site. Three pavilions were destroyed and this happens to be 1 of the remaining to left. What makes this building so unique is the halls that twist and turn, the old wood work inside. The patient rooms were like apartments and I am sure this section may have been for the men since the other standing was for the women. The men would work out in the fields behind the pavilion before a parking lot was paved away for Buffalo State College. This structure is like a castle or giant haunted house so much to see and explore. The small tunnel in the basement all the way to the wooded step ladder leading to the attic gives this place a foreboding feeling including a very large fireplace in one of the rooms. It is ashamed this place has gone to waste some halls contain baseballs, missing railings, holes in the wall. The porch is gorgeous and of course this played a major role in the Buffalo Psyche Center. Is this place haunted still?
