Bronson Mulholland House & The Putnam Historic Museum

When we pulled up onto the museum property which was the long driveway and an area surrounded by grass I thought to myself where the hell is the museum. I expected to see a giant historical museum when in turn their was this little house that was surrounded by a white picket fence with brick walkways.

We were not even sure if someone lived their cause their was a mini van in the driveway so we did not take many photos. Their were two giant eagles at the entrance and a memorial of some kind. You could tell though the museum was very old I mean the structure looked like it was a barracks for a fort. Which of course the museum at one point in time served as another use when it first was built.

The museum was small so we only took a few photos then we walked on over next to the museum to the Bronson Mulholland House. I thought Debary Hall was large lol but this was no house this was a mansion. We walked down the brick walkway and stood in between to flame lit lamps. I had my photo taken to give you an idea of how large the house is and me standing in front of it.

We walked up on the porch I sat in the rocker. The house was strange some of the drapes were peeled back or open like something was peaking out. We walked around the house slowly. The house appeared to have 3 stories and I felt really watched from the upstairs balcony I had to do a double take cause I thought something was standing up their.

On the backside of the house was another porch. I wish I took more photos of the house but the problem is that given the room on each side of the house we had it was hard to get good photos cause of its size.

The main thing is with the house is I felt watched from the windows. Their was a walkway and Jason started gardening with the hedge clippers he found. The one porch light was on one of the sides of the house where their was a garden and mailbox. I think all I could wish for is if we had the chance to go inside such a historical house.

We could not stay long cause the neighborhood was very nice and of course someone was being nosy near by cause I heard a door slam a few times across the street like someone came outside to watch us.

Their was a few incidents here that bothered me however. On two separate walkways branches fell down on us. One missed Jason and I by a few inches. Another time something fell out of a tree but we were being rained on by wood. It was odd cause we would be standing still talking then all of sudden we would hear crack and debris would fall out of the trees. I do not know if something ghostly was trying to spook us or throw something at us but it was becoming a nuisance as it happened a couple times in a couple different areas. Jason almost got clunked in the head by these black clumps of debris I would assume if he got hit in the head he would have been knocked out stone cold cause when they hit the cemetery all I could hear was a huge thump hehe.

All I can say is that the house had a real haunting feeling. We quickly returned to the museum and took a few more photos. Their was not a lot of activity at the museum not like the house which felt cold and energized with residual energy. We wrapped it up here not a lot of activity this was more our historic calm downer for the night and we saved the best place for last which was the Old Bostwick School.
