Boston Hill Cemetery is mainly a black cemetery from the 1800s which is very weathered as graves are sinking in the ground, illegible, and vandalized. I do not have a lot of history to this cemetery but I can tell you that it was erected before even the pioneers of Slavia came to the area. Before pioneers came to the area the land surrounding Oviedo was full of saw mills, turpentine camps, plantations, shacks etc but at that time their was great segregation between blacks and whites.

So Boston Hill Cemetery was formed and although there is other cemeteries in the area this one perhaps is special in its own way in the fact that its significant to the areas history. I mean most stones are upper burials even some of the trees in the cemetery are very old. Unfortunately the area has been so built up on 3 sides of it our houses and apartments which really take away the eerie feeling that I was hoping for with this place.

I learned about this place from an previous investigator who told me their was an image of a man hanging in the trees while a lady kneeled at is feet weeping. She also told me their was footsteps and grass moving. I heard their are lots of cold spots and pockets of fog. I mean these types of phenomena are not necessarily paranormal so this is why we went here to investigate. What I found is to be some sort of energy here but it was rather low key the type of energy that says hey were here but we are keeping to ourselves type of deal.

But it still is a awesome cemetery to wander around in as graves are tilted, sunk in the ground, cracked etc I am sure on a good night its quite possible to catch a glimpse of something strange. I mean if their is truth to the hanging man it is most likely cause in the 1800s many blacks were lynched and of course perhaps this was the case. Maybe that is how this place became a cemetery in the first place? Just something to ponder upon.
