The Bauer House may just be the most eeriest house in all of New Smyrna. What the main question is perhaps is how haunted is the home? To be honest with you I found this house long before I even knew other groups had visited it. But out of all them groups we were the only one to get inside to give the public a sneak preview of photography, spirits, EVP and even full video night vision video.

The house sits in one of the oldest areas in all of New Smyrna it has at least 4 bathrooms, 6 bedrooms, a basement, attic, upstairs and downstairs. All the original old doors and coat racks still exist. Even the old light fixtures and sinks till remain in tact. The floors are made of wood and perhaps 90 percent of the home is oak The den has a fireplace and there is even a balcony.

Today the house sits covered in cob webs, brush and its exterior paint chipping. If you were a member to go inside this house what you would see is a fridge that is still on and running with meat stored inside. Fresh jeans hanging on the railing, canceled checks that look brand new all the way from 1986, needles, surgical equipment, veterinarian books, beds, books, knick knacks, lamps, a medicine room, surgical table, and so much more. I seen even family videos, photos, toothpaste, mouthwash and even food left out in the open. This family did not waste no time they literally left everything and split. 

There is in my opinion two separate entities in this house one haunting the downstairs the other upstairs. The one upstairs I feel watches but keeps its distance probably a female however the one downstairs is a man and he will scare you trust me when I say this. This is not a house for the weak its dark, mildewed and there is a giant hole upstairs which can be your last breath if you were to fall down it. 

There is a story that goes with the entire house. Its about a cheerleader back in the 1970s who was going out to Daytona to pick up material for her outfit when she stopped to help a man change a tire. Little did she know he was a serial killer which dumped her body in the woods across state.

Then in 1986 the family apparently distraught over her death left everything behind including the house. Now the question I have is did it take till 1986 to find the body or perhaps the daughter was haunting this house so bad that the family up and left so they would not be reminded of her horrible death. Also the car in the driveway is a Plymouth Champ which is supposed to be the daughters car. Strangely though if the Bauer's left in 1986 why is the car registered with a 1994 plate?

I am not sure how fictional the story is or how nonfiction it can be. Some say the lights are on inside others say they have been touched going near the property. It appears whoever lived here ran a veterinary clinic out of the home. There is a medical examine room and some of the den appeared to be an office of some kind. There also kids toys around and rumor has it that the teenage girl who died also had a set of twin brothers. 

I found the home when I was with my exgirlfriend around Easter. I was walking felt a presence watch me from upstairs so I decided to return to enjoy the ghost that haunt it. Some people say the ghost protect the house from vandals. Even all the old 70s and 80s clothes still hang on coat racks. 

The house is haunted for example while downstairs you will hear foot steps upstairs, moans, noises, cold spots, uncomfortable feelings of being watched etc There was signs that a female vagrant stayed here awhile since we found a petit sized set of new clothing in the hall. It is what it is a very eerie haunted house!
