Basilica Cathedral of St. Augustine

This is the type of place when your approaching it you can see it from afar. It is such a nice cathedral still not as glorious as the ones in Buffalo NY this one has almost 500 years of history which makes it unique.

When Aaron and I parked there was so many different people just walking the streets. It was late as it is and I always thought of this place as a quiet city from what I heard. But in reality there was alot of people just hanging out on the streets and on our way to the cathedral a man asked us for money. When we did not give him some he started calling us losers and queers. So right away it was obvious that no matter how old or beautiful a city is there is always a dark side to everything.

We took some photos of the cathedral some guys were staring at us just hanging out in front of the church. People just have nothing better to do I guess but they really gave us dirty looks when we entered the rod iron gates.

We started to walk around on the grounds and went down a very dark alley. It was fairly peaceful till we came around the corner where there was statues, gardens, stone benches, fountains and other various places to visit.

Right away the temperature behind the cathedral was a distinct drop of at least 10 degrees. I felt alot of energies near the various saint statues and I did not have to try very hard to get the attention of the entities. It was like we walked in on some ghostly ceremony behind the cathedral going on.

There was a real warm loving feeling here I cannot explain it but if you were here you would understand. There was not an ounce of bad feelings but rather this felt like one of the most pure places I have visited in months. I felt a angelic calm at least that is how I would describe it and after this I told Aaron you watch how well we do tonight and so we did.

We walked around a tinch then decided to head out but the courtyard was very nice and perhaps the most active area. Upon walking around to the other side I climbed over a wall to get a photo of this giant statue. I really wanted it for the site. Then we decided to get back to the car and drive on off to our next location which was The St. Augustine Old Village.
