The Astor Cemetery was established in 1885 when William B. Astor donated the land for it. The newer section  has a stone that says Patsy Tatum  donated the land for the cemetery so perhaps there are some discrepancies here. Some of the oldest stones date back to the 1800s and Astor is even buried here. The oldest gravestone is that of HB Sanders who died in 1886. Rumors of a house being within the cemetery I have also read about at one time.

Astor was a steam boat town with alot of history so many of the earliest pioneers led a life here and were buried in this cemetery. The cemetery has an old wagon road that runs threw it and a wrought iron entrance deeper on in. It seems recently they have expanded it building around the oldest section for newer burials.

Its not a bad little cemetery a bar is across the street so it does get a little noisy here which makes it hard to investigate.
