Akron Evergreen Lawn Cemetery was established in 1894 however there is many earlier burials some stones in the back date to the 1830s. This is one of the largest cemeteries in the town of Akron and is very close to the Indian reservation. This cemetery is known for its evergreen trees and creepy oak trees. It is very well kept although there are some stones that are worn or on the ground. The cemetery has many hills and gravel roads that twist and turn and from afar it looks small till you look over the hill you can clearly see that it goes fairly far back near a field and some pretty foreboding woods. Many stones are of veterans with flags from world war I and II. There seems to be a variety of stones here almost every known type and as far as it being haunted i would say mildly. But none the less it is very beautiful to stroll through at night.
